About this project

What does Bailey's Extended Enchantments add?

Bailey's Extended Enchantments

Vanilla enchanting runs out of road fast. Bailey's Extended Enchantments rebuilds the late game around a second, far more powerful enchanting path: a new table that rolls brand-new enchantments and pushes the familiar ones past their normal caps, a heavy-duty anvil with no upgrade limits, and a prestige Ultimate system that turns a single enchantment on a piece of gear into something game-changing.

Everything is earned through the Deep Dark. The strongest content is gated behind Warden loot, so the power curve finally has somewhere to go once you've beaten the vanilla grind.

What it adds at a glance

  • A second enchanting station — the Ancient Enchanting Table — with brand-new enchantments and over-cap rolls of vanilla ones
  • A no-limit anvil — the Ancient Anvil — with no level cap and no "Too Expensive"
  • 24 new enchantments, fourteen of which hide a secret Ultimate form
  • An Ultimate Upgrade system to evolve a maxed enchantment into its Ultimate
  • New items and Warden drops that tie the whole progression together

The Ancient Enchanting Table

A second enchanting table for when the vanilla one has nothing left to offer. It rolls the mod's new enchantments and can push vanilla enchantments beyond their normal level caps, so your gear keeps improving long after Sharpness V or Protection IV.

Instead of lapis, the Ancient Enchanting Table runs on Echo Shards, and its ancient magic will occasionally grant bonus enchantments on a single roll. Some of the enchantments it offers quietly carry an Ultimate form for players who later take them to their peak.

Crafting recipe:

E H E      E = Echo Shard
D T D      H = Warden Heart
O O O      D = Diamond
           T = Enchanting Table
           O = Obsidian

The Ancient Anvil

A heavy-duty upgrade to the vanilla anvil. It repairs, renames, and merges enchantments with no level cap and no "Too Expensive", so you can keep combining high-tier gear without slamming into the usual wall.

It is also the station where the Ultimate Upgrade is performed.

Crafting recipe:

E H E      E = Echo Shard
S A S      H = Warden Heart
S S S      S = Sculk
           A = Anvil

Ultimate Upgrades

Fourteen of the mod's enchantments have a hidden Ultimate tier. To unlock one, bring a piece of gear whose relevant enchantment is already maxed to the Ancient Anvil, together with two ingredients:

  • 1× Echo Upgrade Template
  • 1× Dark Crystal

The gear's top enchantment is then transformed into its Ultimate form. A few rules keep it meaningful:

  • It costs 30 experience levels.
  • Only one Ultimate per item.
  • The Ultimate replaces the enchantment it was upgraded from.

This makes Ultimates a deliberate, high-cost choice rather than something you stack endlessly.

Items and where to find them

Item How to get it
Warden Heart Dropped by the Warden. The core ingredient for both the Ancient Enchanting Table and the Ancient Anvil.
Echo Upgrade Template Dropped by the Warden. Required for every Ultimate Upgrade, and can be duplicated with diamonds and an echo shard, just like a smithing template.
Dark Crystal Crafted shapeless from 1 Echo Shard + 2 Amethyst Shards. Consumed by each Ultimate Upgrade.

Defeating a Warden now also drops its heart and an Echo Upgrade Template alongside the usual sculk catalyst, making the Deep Dark the gateway to the mod's endgame.

Getting started

  1. Gear up and head into the Deep Dark. Defeat a Warden to collect a Warden Heart and an Echo Upgrade Template.
  2. Gather Echo Shards, Obsidian, Diamonds, and Sculk, then craft the Ancient Enchanting Table and the Ancient Anvil.
  3. Enchant your gear at the Ancient Enchanting Table to roll new enchantments and over-cap versions of vanilla ones.
  4. Max out an enchantment you like, craft a Dark Crystal, and use the Ancient Anvil to forge it into its Ultimate form.

Compatibility

  • Minecraft: 1.20.1
  • Mod loader: Forge 47.3 or newer
  • Works in both single-player and on servers (required on client and server).
