About this project
What does Tame ervery Mob add?
Tame Every Mob
Turn almost every vanilla mob into a loyal companion, then train, equip, command, ride and protect it.
Tame Every Mob expands Minecraft's pet system far beyond wolves and cats. Passive, neutral and hostile mobs can become persistent companions with their own behavior, combat role, equipment, upgrades and progression.
Tame almost every mob
- Tame a huge variety of vanilla creatures with mob-specific items and taming requirements.
- Build unusual teams from passive animals, monsters and powerful creatures.
- Tame the Ender Dragon after completing Free the End and respawning it.
- Heal ordinary pets with Healing Treats and monster pets with Monster Meat or suitable normal food.
- Tame Every Mob only manages pets registered by this mod. Pets from other mods remain under the control of their own systems.
Command your pets
The Mob Behavior Controller gives each pet independent movement and combat orders:
- Movement: Follow, Stay or Wander
- Combat: Passive, Defensive or Aggressive
- Open a pet directly or use the pet directory to manage available companions remotely.
- Rename pets, inspect their health and owner, and preview their current appearance.
- Switch directly between the Behavior Controller and Upgrade Controller when both are in your inventory.
- Optional behavior icons can be displayed above owned pets and configured through Mod Menu.
Progression and equipment
Every pet begins with its first upgrade slot. Complete three pet-specific tasks to unlock Slot 2, Slot 3 and the special Epic Slot 4.
- Equip up to 4 upgrades per pet.
- Choose from 30 regular upgrade items and 4 Epic Upgrades.
- Equip 6 tiers of Pet Armour and 6 tiers of Pet Swords on compatible mobs.
- Armour and weapons use visible durability, just like normal tools and equipment.
- Quickly equip upgrades with Shift + right-click. Regular upgrades fill free slots in order, while Epic Upgrades go directly into the Epic Slot.
- The Creative-only Instant Pet Upgrade can advance one task level or unlock every task immediately.
- Compatibility indicators show which equipment and upgrades each mob can actually use.
Regular upgrades
Regular upgrades provide new attacks, defensive tools, survival abilities and utility:
- Combat Instinct and Animal Hunter
- Egg Attack, Fire Attack and Eternal Stinger
- Regeneration, Sun Shield and Water Breathing
- Scary Creeper, Roarer and Explosion Recover
- Life Steal I-III and Critical Strike I-III
- Multi Shot I-III and Shoot Assist
- Loot Collector I-III and Last Stand I-III
- Poison Attack I-III
Upgrades can be discovered as loot in locations such as villages, temples, pillager outposts, Nether fortresses, bastions and End cities.
Epic Upgrades
The fourth slot can hold one of four powerful Epic Upgrades:
- Best Body: Gives supported miniature pets their full-size form.
- Ride Mobs: Makes normally unrideable pets controllable with WASD and unlocks suitable mounted abilities.
- BOSS Power: Restores miniature boss pets to their powerful normal form.
- Duplicate: Creates a temporary combat clone with the pet's upgrades and reduced stats. The clone disappears after combat and must recover before it can return.
Ride and use mob abilities
The Ride Mobs Upgrade turns compatible pets into controllable mounts while preserving what makes each creature special.
- Move with WASD, jump and sprint with supported land mobs.
- Attack living targets in your crosshair while retaining normal block interaction.
- Benefit from attack reach based on the size of the ridden mob.
- Ride aquatic mobs with freer underwater movement and underwater breathing.
- Perform controlled water jumps with dolphins.
- Use a configurable ability key for special actions such as Enderman teleportation, Blaze fire attacks, Skeleton bow shots, chicken egg attacks and other mob-specific abilities.
- A compact, configurable ability HUD shows the current action and keybind.
Store, find and recall pets
- Mob Pockets store and transport compatible pets in multiple capacity tiers.
- Select a stored pet with Shift + Mouse Wheel.
- Charge a pocket to capture multiple nearby pets or release its stored pets around you.
- Special pockets support miniature boss companions.
- Use the My Mobs Finder to locate and highlight your own pets.
- Use the durable Mob Recall Totem to bring available companions back to you.
Guides and additional content
- Search the built-in Taming Guide for mob-specific taming information.
- Search the Upgrade Guide for effects, compatibility and possible discovery locations.
- Unlock custom advancements while taming, upgrading, transporting and fighting alongside pets.
- Configure the ability HUD, behavior display and keybinds with Mod Menu where supported.
