About this project

What does RemoveEnchantmentIncompatibility add?

JOIN OUR DISCORD

Removes enchantment incompatibility. Minecraft normally stops certain enchantments from sharing an item — Protection with Blast Protection, Sharpness with Smite, Infinity with Mending, and more. This mod lifts those restrictions, so any combination of enchantments can live on the same item, both at the enchanting table and on the anvil.

📦 Install on the server. Client installation is optional (vanilla clients can join and use it seamlessly — the server decides which enchantments may combine and syncs the result back to everyone).

ℹ️ Nothing to miss client-side: the mod adds no custom visuals, so players without it installed still get the full effect.

🎮 Singleplayer note: Works perfectly in singleplayer — just drop it into your mods folder as usual.

How it works:

  • Stack Conflicting Protections: Put Protection alongside Blast Protection, Fire Protection, and Projectile Protection on the same armor piece.
  • Every Damage Enchant at Once: Combine Sharpness, Smite, and Bane of Arthropods on a single weapon.
  • "Pick One" Combos, Together: Infinity + Mending, Silk Touch + Fortune, Depth Strider + Frost Walker, Multishot + Piercing, Riptide + Loyalty / Channeling — all allowed.
  • Table and Anvil: Applies wherever enchantments are added, and also clears incompatibilities introduced by other mods' enchantments, because it hooks the single check the whole game runs through.
  • Sensible Limits Stay: You still can't put two copies of the same enchantment on one item, and enchantments must still be valid for that item.

Configuration

There's nothing to configure — the mod works out of the box. No config files, commands, keybinds, or dependencies (Fabric API is not required). Install it and every enchantment becomes compatible with every other.
