Flame Potions
A new set custom of potions and arrows designed around Flames and Burning
Quick answer
Which Flame Potions release should I use?
Flame Potions flame_potions-1.1.0+mc26.1-26.1.2.jar targets 26.1, 26.1.1, 26.1.2 with Fabric. The project page does not say whether this file belongs on the client, dedicated server, or both. All 4 required mods have matching files.
Where it goes
Is Flame Potions required on the client, server, or both?
The project page does not say whether this file belongs on the client, dedicated server, or both.
The source does not explicitly classify this release as client-only or server-only.
What else does Flame Potions flame_potions-1.1.0+mc26.1-26.1.2.jar need?
flame_potions-1.1.0+mc26.1-26.1.2.jar. Change the file and its required mods may change too.
Install Fabric API, YetAnotherConfigLib, Mod Menu, Text Placeholder API first. We found matching files for this game-version and loader setup. 1 comes through another mod in the chain.
1 extra mod was pulled in by another dependency. Indented rows show who needs each one. We only count dependency files that match this setup. A file for another loader does not fill the gap.

About this project
What does Flame Potions add?
If you don't try anything else from this mod, at least try out the Splash Potions. Make sure you check out the settings if you want a bigger Splash.
Features
Potions
This is a new set of potions that will light players/mobs on fire and give them the Flame effect:
- Regular Potions that you can drink: Why would you do that? You're just hurting yourself. I added these for other reasons!
- Splash Potions: You know what splash potions do! These do a bit more… like setting stuff on fire!
- Lingering Potions: Similar to the Splash Potions, but without setting the environment on fire. These are more similar to the Dragons Breath, but with fire instead of magic.
Crafting Recipes
The crafting recipes for the potions follow the typical vanilla pattern
- Base Potion (method 1): Awkward Potion + Fire Charge
- Base Potion (method 2): Fire Resistance Potion + Fermented Spider Eye
- Long Duration Potion: Add Redstone Dust
- Level 2 Potion: Add Glowstone Dust
- Splash Potion: Add Gunpowder
- Lingering Potion: Splash Potion + Dragons Breath
Arrows
Flame Arrows are new Tipped Arrows that you might see named as Arrows of Burning
- They essentially work like regular arrows that are shot from a Flame enchanted bow, but you can use them with a regular, unenchanted bow (or even crossbow).
- Use the same crafting recipe pattern that you would for vanilla Tipped Arrows
- You just might find a fletcher that sells these tipped arrows.
- If you have more than 1 arrow type in your inventory, hold these arrows in your offhand to ensure that you shoot these instead of the other arrows.
- Bonus tip: In the settings you can turn on a bonus feature if you want more flame with a flame bow.
Extras
There are a few extra features that I've added to this mod
- Advancements: There are a few new advancements. Can you get them all?
- Customizable Settings: There are only a few settings to adjust, but they can make a big difference on how you play the game.
- In-Game Reload: If you don't want to use Mod Menu to change the settings (why not? but ok…) then you can edit the settings file yourself, then use this command to reload the settings without leaving the world or restarting the game (requires commands to be enabled, or you must have at least permission level 2)
