About this project

What does STALKER.PNGS add?

Based on the **Twixxel** series, this mod fills your world with photographs that stand
perfectly still and watch you. No AI. No attacks. No spawning naturally, you decide.

34 stalkers, and then yours

Press **L** for the menu. Every stalker is a tile with its own picture, so you pick a face
instead of guessing at a name. Click one and it appears. Press **K** and every one you've
placed is gone.

**But the good part is the folder.** The mod creates **STALKERPNGS** inside your
.minecraft. Drop any .png in there — a friend's face, a screenshot, whatever you like —
and spawn *that*. You choose:

  • how wide and how tall it is, up to 30 blocks
  • whether it turns to watch you, or stares at one fixed spot forever
  • whether it floats or falls to the floor
  • how see-through it is — a shape you're not sure you saw is worse than one you did
  • whether it glows in the dark

Place it where you stand, so many blocks in front of you, or at exact coordinates.

Sounds you bury in the floor

Pick **any** sound in the game, set the volume and pitch, and leave it in a block at your
feet. Whoever walks into that spot hears it. Make the block invisible and there's nothing
to see coming.

A scene director

This is the part nobody expects. Build a jumpscare cue by cue, on a real timeline:

`

\*\*18 kinds of cue\*\* — spawn, despawn, move, turn, resize, fade in and out, glow, sounds,
big titles, darkness and blindness, particles, lightning, time of day, weather, breaking
blocks in a radius, and turning the camera to face something.

Drag cues along the timeline, colour-coded by type, with a lane for each actor. New to it?
\*\*Six ready-made scenes\*\* open already written and play straight away.

Then bury the whole scene in the floor as an invisible trap. Whoever steps on it sets it
off around \*themselves\* — even on a server, even if they've never seen your scene file.

## Getting started

\*\*Minecraft 1.20.1 · Forge 47+\*\*

Install it, load a world, press \*\*L\*\*. There's a \*\*How it works\*\* button in the menu that
explains everything in plain words.

- \*\*L\*\* — open the menu
- \*\*K\*\* — remove every stalker you've placed

Your own images live on your computer. On a server, anyone without the same file in their
STALKERPNGS folder sees a default stalker instead.

---

## A note on how this was made

This mod was built \*\*with the help of Claude (AI)\*\*. The idea, the creatures, the
screenshots and the direction are mine; a lot of the code was written with an assistant.
I'd rather say so than not.
