About this project
What does Deluxe_Lib add?
DeluxeLib is the technical backbone behind Darkblade's mods. It does the heavy
lifting — animation, creature AI, combat feel and rendering tricks — so the mods
that depend on it can focus on content.
This includes:
• Smooth animation blending — no more robotic snapping. Walk → run, idle →
attack: every transition is interpolated, so creatures move like they're alive.
• Creatures that feel alive —state-machine for driving behaviour
and targeting, proper flight navigation and turning, plus procedural layers on
top of the animation: blinking, idle head motion, looking at what matters,
leaning into turns.
• Combat with weight — hitboxes driven by the animation itself (the swing hits
when it looks like it hits), poise and stagger with an on-screen bar, camera
shake, and throwable weapons.
• Rendering extras — coloured item glint, solid helmet interiors in first person,
displayable statues, and custom poses for whatever you're riding.
Everything is exposed as an API for mod authors.
It can only be used for Darkblade and partner mods with prior coordination.
