About this project

What does Persistence Mobs add?

Persistence Mobs

Persistence Mobs is a lightweight and powerful utility mod that gives you full control over mob despawning mechanics. Whether you want to prevent all entities from naturally disappearing or just target specific mob types, this mod provides a simple, in-game interface to manage it all.

Features

  • In-Game GUI: Access the configuration menu anywhere using the dedicated Persistence Wand item.
  • Global Control: A simple toggle (Persistence All: ON/OFF) to instantly prevent natural despawning for every mob in the world.
  • Targeted Persistence: Add specific mob IDs (e.g., minecraft:zombie) to the whitelist to keep only certain mobs from despawning.
  • Dynamic Updates: Changes made in the GUI apply instantly to all currently loaded mobs across all dimensions, as well as newly spawned ones.
  • High Compatibility: Supports both vanilla and most modded mobs.
  • Lightweight: Highly optimized server-side logic ensures no performance impact.

Notes

This mod only prevents Minecraft's normal despawn system.

If another mod explicitly removes entities using custom code, this mod cannot prevent that.
