About this project

What does Cursed Breeding add?

Cursed Breeding

Cursed Breeding adds a strange new breeding mechanic to Minecraft. Players can use specific items to breed with supported mobs and create cursed offspring that inherit parts of the player’s skin.

The offspring keep their special appearance after growing up and after the world is reloaded. Normal vanilla breeding remains unchanged.

How It Works

  1. Prepare a supported mob with its required breeding item.
  2. Consume the same item yourself.
  3. You receive a temporary breeding effect.
  4. A nearby compatible mob approaches you.
  5. Cursed offspring are created with features from your Minecraft skin.

The required items can also be consumed when your hunger bar is full.

Supported Mobs

Sheep

Required Item: Wheat

The offspring receives the player’s full face while keeping the normal sheep body.

Cow

Required Item: Wheat

The offspring receives the player’s face while keeping the cow’s horns and normal body.

Pig

Required Items:

  • Carrot
  • Potato
  • Beetroot

The offspring receives the player’s face while keeping the pig’s original snout.

Villager

Required Item: Bread

The offspring receives the player’s face while keeping the villager’s large nose.

Wither Skeleton

Required Item: Coal

The offspring receives the player’s face and remains permanently smaller than a normal Wither Skeleton.

During the breeding phase, the Wither Skeleton temporarily stops targeting players. It also remains peaceful toward players for a short time afterward.

Mooshroom - New in 1.1

Required Items: Red Mushroom or Brown Mushroom

Breed with mooshrooms to create offspring with your face. The child inherits the parent's red or brown variant.

Slime - New in 1.1

Required Item: Slimeball

Feed a slime and eat a slimeball to produce a tiny cursed slime with your face.

Magma Cube - New in 1.1

Required Item: Magma Cream

Create a tiny magma cube with your face, which follows its moving body segments.

Creeper - New in 1.1

Required Item: Gunpowder

Feed a creeper and eat gunpowder to create a small cursed creeper with your face. Creepers do not explode while their Breeding effect is active.

Player Breeding

Required Item: Egg

Two players can receive the Player Breeding effect and create a small mixed-skin child.

The child combines:

  • The head of one player
  • The body of the other player

The child follows the player whose head it inherited and can help defend its owner using a powerful Knockback stick.

New in 1.1

  • Mooshroom, Slime, Magma Cube and Creeper breeding.
  • Eat the new ingredients with an eating animation and feed them to the matching mobs, even when your hunger bar is full.
  • Dedicated icons for the four new Breeding effects.
  • Mobs with an active Breeding effect cannot attack players.
  • Cursed hostile mobs permanently spare the player whose face they carry, even after the Breeding effect ends or face rendering is disabled.
  • Correctly aligned baby faces and optional player names in mob-spawn commands.
  • Fabric, Forge and NeoForge downloads; choose the file for your exact Minecraft version and loader. Fabric requires Fabric API.

Spawn Commands

With command permissions, spawn all nine supported mob types with your own face:

/cursedbreeding spawnall baby
/cursedbreeding spawnall adult

For a single mob, use /cursedbreeding spawn <mob> [player] or /cursedbreeding spawnadult <mob> [player]. Omit [player] to use your own face. Player-to-player offspring remain a separate feature.
