About this project
What does Fine Brickwork add?
Fine Brickwork
Fine Brickwork expands vanilla brick building with a small collection of detailed architectural blocks.
The mod is designed for players who enjoy creating brick houses, workshops, factories, town buildings, and decorative façades but want more shape and depth than standard full blocks, stairs, and slabs can provide.
Decorative brickwork
Fine Brickwork adds seven building pieces made to match vanilla red bricks:
- Brick Sill — a projecting detail for windows, low walls, and façade openings.
- Brick Cornice — a layered wall-top decoration for finishing façades beneath roofs.
- Brick Pier — a stackable masonry column that automatically adapts to the height of the structure.
- Brick Pier Band — a decorative section with projecting panels around the column.
- Brick Pier Relief — a detailed shaft section with a stepped diamond pattern.
- Brick Pier Crown — a compact geometric top for brick columns.
- Brick Pier Capital — a larger ornamental ending with an open crowned shape.
Pier sections are designed to connect into continuous columns, allowing you to create simple supports or more elaborate decorative combinations.
Simple crafting
All Fine Brickwork blocks can be produced in a Stonecutter using ordinary vanilla Bricks blocks. No new materials, workstations, or complicated crafting chains are required.
Built for vanilla-style construction
The mod does not replace vanilla bricks or introduce a separate building system. Its blocks are intended to work alongside ordinary brick blocks and remain simple to place and use.
There are no special tools, menus, automatic connections, random textures, or configuration screens. Fine Brickwork simply adds more architectural options while keeping the familiar Minecraft building experience.
