About this project

What does Eclipse Expansion add?

Eclipsium: Eclipse Expansion

Eclipsium: Eclipse Expansion is a dark fantasy mod for Minecraft 1.21.1 (NeoForge) that adds a mysterious biome, eldritch entities, and a deep lore experience centered around a cosmic eclipse event.

Features:

  • Valle del Eclipse — A unique biome with custom trees, ore, and a constant ominous atmosphere, now existing exclusively in the Locus Eclipsis dimension
  • The Eclipse Event — A periodic solar eclipse every 30 Minecraft days that changes the world around you
  • The Locus Eclipsis — A custom dimension where the eclipse is permanent. Find the Santuario del Portal, collect the Corrupted Solar Fragment inside, and step through
  • Rednal — An invisible, immortal entity that follows a chosen player, whispers to them, and drains their life if it gets too close. It cannot be killed
  • The Eclipsed Wanderer — A humanoid creature that roams the Locus Eclipsis and drops Eclipse Essence upon death
  • Muru — A towering entity from Chilean folklore that emerges during eclipses
  • Eclipse Armor — A full armor set crafted from Eclipse materials
  • Flower of Silence — A craftable item that repels Rednal for 3 Minecraft nights
  • Five lore books — Discover the history of the Valle del Eclipse and the Locus Eclipsis through a deteriorated diary, an explorer's field guide, a researcher's investigation notes, the Precepts of the Eclipse, and the Codex of the Threshold, all written in a mix of Spanish and Latin
  • Structures — Santuario del Portal, Ruins, Explorer Camp, and Eclipse Cult
  • Custom sounds, particles, and sky rendering

How does Rednal affect your experience?
Rednal spawns randomly and targets a player. It follows them invisibly, teleports behind them when looked at, whispers cryptic messages in chat, and slowly drains health if it stays close. The only way to stop it temporarily is the Flower of Silence or the Eclipse Candle.
