About this project

What does Butday's Blueprint add?

Butday's Blueprint

A data-driven recipe locking system for modpack authors. Customize blueprint recipes and loot tables to turn every structure into a reason to explore — the more you hide, the more there is to find.

How It Works

Blueprints are scattered across the world — in dungeon chests, dropped by mobs, hidden in temples, or reeled in while fishing. Right-click a blueprint to learn it, and the corresponding recipe is permanently unlocked.

If you haven't found the right blueprint, the recipe simply won't work — no matter the ingredients.

Getting Started

  1. Sleep — The first time you sleep, you'll receive the Blueprint Anthology.
  2. Explore — Find blueprints throughout the world.
  3. Read — Right-click to learn a blueprint. You get a piece of paper back.
  4. Craft — Learned recipes are now available at the crafting table.
  5. Review — Open the Anthology to browse all learned blueprints, their descriptions, acquisition hints, and unlocked recipes.

Features

  • Data-driven — Blueprints, textures, descriptions, and loot sources are all JSON. Add, remove, or modify everything without touching Java.
  • Flexible locking — One blueprint can unlock multiple recipes. One recipe can require multiple blueprints. Both shaped and shapeless crafting supported.
  • Blueprint Anthology — An in-game compendium that tracks your collection and lets you browse each blueprint's lore.
  • JEI integration — Locked recipes display which blueprints are required.
