About this project
What does Bridge: Chat to Discord add?
Bridge is a dedicated server-side relay mod to allow Discord and Minecraft users to communicate without needing to switch applications.
Features
- Player Messages
- Join/Leave Messages
- Advancement Messages
- Discord Messages (markdown supported)
(All system messages are toggleable in the config file!)
FAQs
"How do I setup the mod?"
- Create a Discord Bot (There's some lovely guides online for this)
- Input the bot token, guild, and channel IDs into the config file
- Create a Discord webhook for the channel you want Minecraft messages to be sent to (Again, lovely guides online)
- Start the server
- Done!
"Do I need to install this on the client?"
No. Bridge works regardless of mods on the client and is fully server-side. This also means bedrock players (playing through mods like Geyser) will also be able to read/send Discord messages.
"Does this work with X modloader for version Y?"
Currently, Bridge can be downloaded and ran on all Fabric and NeoForge servers on version 26.1.2. Porting to new versions will take time and I have no concrete plans on downgrading to previous version.
