EnchantOracle

The last mod you will ever need for enchanting.

Minecraft does not roll your enchantments randomly. It picks them from a random number generator whose state it accidentally shows you every time you put an item on an enchanting table. EnchantOracle works out that state, then tells you exactly what every slot will give you — not the odds, the actual result.

Once it knows, it can drive the table for you to reach any result you choose.

Everything runs on your own client and reads only what the server has already sent you. Nothing is needed on the server, so it works on servers you do not own.

This mod is genuinely confusing for the first ten minutes. It asks you to do things that make no sense until you know why — enchanting a junk book, throwing cobblestone on the floor, burying a grindstone in a hole.

There is a full guide built into the mod. Press G, then Guide. It explains every part of the mod in plain language and answers the questions the mod actually raises while you use it. It takes a few minutes and will save you a lot of confusion.

Quick start

1. Stand at an enchanting table with lapis, a few spare books and some levels.
2. Press G and click Auto-calibrate. It reads your inventory to find your seed and enchants a junk book or two to confirm it. When it says Calibrated, you are ready.
3. Hold the item you want enchanted, press G, and click Choose outcome.
4. Pick a result from the list and click through. The mod does the rest.

If chat ever says it lost sync, calibrate again. Something else used your generator.

What it does

Tells you what you will get. Every possible outcome for the item in your hand, searchable by name. Combine terms with + to demand both, such as unbreaking + efficiency.

Shows the real maximum. Pinned at the top is the best that item can come out of a table, worked out from its own enchantability rather than a fixed list. A golden sword and a netherite sword have different ceilings. Every other result is scored as a percentage of it, and you can search by that percentage.

Handles conflicting enchantments. Most items have more than one maximum, because some enchantments refuse to share. Fortune and Silk Touch is the obvious pair. A button cycles through every combination, and the whole list re-scores against whichever one you pick.

Drives the table. Reaching a chosen result means walking the generator forward a known number of steps, which the mod does by throwing a stack of throwaway blocks and picking them back up. It handles the levels, the lapis, the bookshelf count and the clicking.

Cleans up after itself. Rolling the seed enchants junk books along the way. By default the mod takes those to a nearby grindstone and strips them back so you can reuse them. It only ever touches items it watched come out of the table itself, so your own gear is never at risk.

Combines books on the anvil. Tick the books you want on your held item and it searches every possible merge order, including fusing books together first, for the one that costs the fewest levels.

Rerolls villager trades. Tick the enchantments or items you want, set a price range, and it breaks and replaces the workstation until a match appears.

Notes

Bookshelves, workstations and axes are found anywhere in your inventory, not just your hotbar, and are put back exactly where they were.

Anything that can go wrong stops rather than guesses. If the seed comes out different from what was predicted, a plan aborts before it touches your item.

Experience orbs move the same generator that decides your enchantments, so any XP you pick up shifts your next result. The mod counts this as it happens and corrects for it. The guide has a trick involving a buried grindstone that removes the problem completely.
