About this project

What does Fertile Grounds add?

Crops Growing Demo

Three tiers of soil-enrichment blocks that passively boost crop growth on top of vanilla's normal tilling and hydration mechanics:

  • Enriched Dirt / Enriched Farmland — craft with Dirt + Bone Meal. Works exactly like vanilla dirt: till it, plant on the tilled form only.
  • Enriched Sand — craft with Sand + Bone Meal. No tilling needed, boosts whatever bonemealable plant is growing on top (bamboo is the clear example; sugar cane and cactus don't accept bone meal in vanilla, so they're unaffected).
  • Super Enriched Dirt / Super Enriched Farmland — craft with Dirt + Bone Meal + Glowstone Dust. Same behavior as Tier 1, stronger boost chance.

Roughly 4x faster growth on Tier 1/2, roughly 11x faster on Super Enriched, for a single well-watered crop.

Requires Fabric API.
