About this project
What does Cacophony-TFC add?
Cacophony is an Ambient Sounds mod for TerraFirmaCraft, that uses its unique climatic and seasonal systems to play immersive wildlife sounds.
At the time of this alpha release, there are over 100 species of bird, many of which migrate between climates, nearly 50 species of frogs, 20 varieties of cricket, and a handful of cicadas. Additionally, Cacophany includes a wind sound system that takes into account the current speed and direction of the in-game wind.
Unlike traditional ambient sound mods, Cacophony doesn't play a static looping track that only changes when you move between biomes. It plays sounds of individual animals at points all around the player, which merge together to create a unique and ever-changing cacophony.
