About this project

What does Shule's Potions add?

Shule's Potions completely reimagines Minecraft's vanilla brewing system, taking alchemy to the next level.

Are you tired of the limited vanilla potion system? With this mod, brewing becomes a far more dynamic and rewarding experience. Combine different ingredients inside a brewing cauldron to create potions with unique properties, characteristics, and effects.

Every ingredient behaves differently, so choose your combinations carefully...

Shule's Potions completely expands Minecraft's alchemy system by adding a new crafting system (the Potion Cauldron), new ingredients, different types of bottles for storing different amounts of liquid, and 23 new potion effects.

The new effects include:

-Butter Fingers: Makes items held by the player occasionally slip from their hands.

-Cloning: Creates an identical copy of the target, including players.

-Comeback: Returns the player to their spawn point.

-CraftMaster: Allows the player to save items when crafting.

-Decapitated: Temporarily removes the target's head.

-Ender Disruption: Allows the target to dodge projectiles like Endermen do.

-Explosive Sneeze: Causes the target to sneeze randomly, creating a large explosion that launches them into the air.

-Fertilizer: Makes plants and crops around the target grow.

-Fly: Allows the player to fly.

-Frost Walk: Turns water into ice beneath the player's feet.

-Gravity High: Makes the target denser, increasing their gravity.

-Gravity Low: Makes the target lighter, reducing their gravity.

-Orbital Gravity: Causes everything around the target to begin orbiting them.

-Infested: Spawns Silverfish whenever the target takes damage.

-Instability: Causes the target to move erratically in all directions.

-Leech: Grants the target life steal.

-Nether Corruption: Causes the target to transform nearby blocks into their Nether variants.

-Oozing: Makes the target release Slimes upon death.

-Potion Migraine: Makes the target's head grow until it explodes, releasing a large amount of potion liquid.

-Potion Splashed: Covers the target in potion liquid, reducing their vision and movement speed.

-Shadow Manipulation: Causes the target to create shadow clones that attack alongside their owner. -Stone Crusher: Allows the player to mine an area larger than the traditional 1×1. -Swap: Swaps the positions of the target and the player who threw the potion.

Shule's Potions has extensive data pack support, allowing virtually any potion effect from other mods to become compatible with the brewing system.

The following mods are currently supported out of the box:

-Alex's Mobs

-Froglins

-Supplementaries

Even if your favorite mod isn't officially supported yet, you can easily add compatibility yourself by creating a datapack.

Simply create the following file:

potion_ingredients/<mod_id>.json

Example: {

"mod_id:item_id": {

"purity": 30,

"flavor": 20,

"vitality": 50,

"stability": -40,

"color": "#80170c",

"effects": {

"minecraft:hunger": -50,

"minecraft:wither": -50,

"minecraft:darkness": 50,

}

}

} This makes it easy to extend the system with custom ingredients from virtually any mod.

Shule's Potions is a solo project, so I can't promise frequent or fast updates.

However, my goal is to release large themed updates, each focused on expanding a particular aspect of the mod (similar to Minecraft's own update philosophy... but on a larger scale for the alchemy system)

There are still plenty of ideas waiting to be brewed.
