Unresolved Mod Fixes

I made Unresolved Mod Fixes as a place for fixes to Minecraft mod problems that are still unresolved, have been declined, or need extra compatibility between two mods.

The mod started with fixes involving Iron’s Spells ’n Spellbooks, but it is not limited to one mod. I may add fixes for other mods in the future when I find a problem that can be reproduced and properly tested.

Each fix is kept separate and only runs when the mods it needs are installed. Every fix can also be turned off in the config.

Fixes currently included

Fireward Ring and Tough As Nails

The Fireward Ring from Iron’s Spells says it gives fire immunity, but Tough As Nails could still cause the player to overheat.

With this fix enabled, wearing the Fireward Ring stops the player from reaching the dangerous HOT temperature and clears hyperthermia buildup. Removing the ring returns the normal Tough As Nails behaviour.

Cosmetic Armor Reworked

When some Iron’s armour was hidden using Cosmetic Armor Reworked, parts of the player skin could stay hidden as well.

This fix restores the correct player skin layers when the real armour is hidden. Visible cosmetic armour should still render normally.

Female Gender Mod

Iron’s custom chestplates could cause a pink or missing-texture overlay when used with Female Gender Mod.

This fix adds the compatibility information needed for all 14 supported Iron’s chestplates.

True Invisibility

True Invisibility could still trigger sculk sensors, and Wardens could still find and target the affected player.

With this fix enabled, vibrations from the invisible player are hidden and Wardens cannot select them as a target. Everything returns to normal when the effect ends or is removed.

Travel Optics - Loot Codec Fix

Travel Optics 4.4.0.1 could register its universal_loot modifier using the wrong codec, resulting in a duplicate registry value and potentially preventing the game from starting.

This fix corrects the universal_loot registration to use the intended Universal Loot codec while leaving the rest of Travel Optics unchanged.

Travel Optics - Compatibility Data Fixes

Travel Optics contains some outdated compatibility data that can cause errors with newer versions of its supported mods.

This fix corrects an invalid L_Ender’s Cataclysm Ancient Remnant entity ID and replaces the outdated #forge:tools tag used by the Reversal spell with the current common tools tag.

The original Travel Optics mod JAR is not modified.

Iron’s Apothic and Travel Optics Aqua Compatibility

Iron’s Apothic contains an Aqua affix integration for Travel Optics that references the missing traveloptics:aqua_spell_power attribute.

Current Travel Optics versions no longer register this attribute, which can cause Iron’s Apothic to fail while loading the Aqua affix.

This fix prevents the obsolete Aqua Spell Power affix from loading while preserving the other Travel Optics and Iron’s Apothic integrations.

Config

All fixes are enabled by default and can be changed separately in:

config/unresolvedmodfixes-common.toml

Current configurable fixes are:

  • firewardToughAsNails
  • cosmeticArmorSkinLayers
  • femaleGenderArmor
  • trueInvisibilityDetection
  • travelOpticsLootCodec
  • travelOpticsDataFixes
  • ironsApothicTravelOpticsAqua

Restart Minecraft or the server after changing the config.

Supported version

  • Minecraft 1.21.1
  • NeoForge
  • Java 21

The mod has been tested in single-player and on a dedicated server.

The other supported mods are optional. Unresolved Mod Fixes can still start without them, and a fix will simply stay inactive when the mods it needs are missing.

Reporting a problem

Please include your Minecraft version, NeoForge version, mod versions, latest.log, and clear steps for reproducing the problem.

It also helps to disable the related fix in the config and check whether the original problem comes back.

Disclaimer

This is an unofficial project and is not connected to or maintained by the developers of the supported mods.
