About this project

What does Custom Races Framework add?

Custom Races Framework is a fun, easy-to-use mod that lets you create and play as custom RPG races, transform into beasts, use 3D creature models, and cast active abilities or magic spells!

Whether you want to be an Elven Archer, a Fire Demon, or a Werewolf that turns into a giant beast, this mod gives you full control over your character's stats, looks, and powers.

✨ Main Features

🧬 Custom Races & Stats

  • Create Any Race: Give races extra health, faster running speed, higher jumps, night vision, underwater breathing, or immunity to fall damage.
  • VIP & Locked Races: Lock special or donor races behind server permissions. Locked races show a 🔒 VIP badge in the race picker menu.
  • First-Join Menu: New players automatically get a clean race selection menu when they join your world or server for the first time.

🐺 Custom 3D Models & Transformations

⚠️ Note: Custom GeckoLib 3D models are currently Work In Progress (WIP) and actively being improved in upcoming updates! THESE SHOULD BE TREATED AS ROADMAP GOALS:

  • Custom 3D Creature Models: Transform into 3D GeckoLib models like Werewolves, Dragons, Bears, Skeletons, or Demons!
  • Hides Human Player Model: Hides your normal Minecraft human skin while transformed so models look clean and natural.
  • Custom Textures & Skins: Custom models can use their own custom PNG textures or automatically use your player skin.
  • Upright Standing & Walking Animations: Models stand upright on the ground and naturally swing their arms and legs as you walk, run, and attack.
  • Dark Particle Smoke Effects: Transformed beasts emit particle smoke clouds around their bodies.

⚡ Active Skills & Magic Spells

  • Keybind Skills: Activate up to 5 custom race skills using easy keyboard shortcuts.
  • Iron's Spells Support: Cast magic spells from Iron's Spells 'n Spellbooks directly from your race ability keys!
  • Custom Body Parts: Add 3D ears, horns, tails, wings, halos, or extra legs to any race with custom colors and positions.

📐 Player Size & Height (Pehkui)

  • Works with Pehkui to make races taller, shorter, wider, or shrink down to fit through small tunnels.

🛡️ Smooth Server & Multiplayer Performance

  • Zero Lag: Highly optimized rendering ensures smooth, lag-free gameplay with high FPS.
  • Multiplayer Sync: Other players on the server will see your custom 3D model, transformation, and skills in real time.
  • Server Supported: Works on Fabric, Forge, and hybrid servers (like Mohist).

🖥️ Commands & In-Game Menus
