About this project
What does Tree Chopper Continued add?
Tree Chopper
Chops down an entire tree the moment you break its base log with an axe. No more climbing up and clearing every log one at a time — one hit at the bottom takes the whole trunk with it.
Works with modded wood and modded axes, not just vanilla — Biomes O' Plenty, Forestry, Tinkers' Construct, Gravity Suite, Aether Legacy, Lost Aether, Galacticraft, Immersive Engineering, Animalium and IC2 Experimental's electric chainsaw are all recognized out of the box, and more can be added through the config.
Hold SHIFT to skip the effect on a single tree (or flip that behavior in the config). Durability loss per tree is configurable too, including disabling it entirely. Saplings replant automatically after a tree falls.
The mod works server-side, but installing it on the client as well is recommended, otherwise the block-breaking animation doesn't sync cleanly for other players.
Compared to the original
This is a continuation of DuchLord's original Tree Chopper mod, with a number of fixes and additions:
- Fixed a bug where axe durability could go negative.
- Durability loss per tree is now configurable, including turning it off entirely.
- Added default support for axes from Gravity Suite, Aether Legacy, Lost Aether, Galacticraft, Immersive Engineering and Animalium.
- Added support for the IC2 Experimental electric chainsaw, draining real IC2 charge instead of working for free.
- Clear in-game messages when your tool doesn't have enough durability or charge to finish the tree.
- Updated to run on a current Forge build.
