About this project

What does ItemDisabled add?

title1 Requires Common Network & Architectury API.

This mod consists of a system that allows you to disable the use of certain items (including blocks, armor, food, etc.) through a command.

In the command (for OPs only), you can specify the duration of the disablement (-1 for infinite) and the target for the disablement. The item to be disabled in the command must be specified using its Minecraft ID.

Disabled items configurations are stored as .json files in config/ItemDisabled (mod) or plugins/ItemDisabled (plugin).

When an item is disabled, it will display a semi-transparent red overlay and a tooltip message (in client mod). Additionally, attempting to use it will trigger a message and block the action.

overlay

Actions blocked when attempting to use a disabled item include: left- and right-clicking (in mod), attacking entities, interacting, and equipping the item in armor slots (in which case it returns to the inventory).

Disclaimer: This mod/plugin is currently in BETA. Bugs, crashes, or performance issues may occur. Use it at your own risk.
