About this project
What does Muddy Farmland add?

Muddy Farmland is a lightweight Fabric mod that introduces a nutrient-rich, water-storing farmland block crafted from mud. Turn muddy soil into fertile farmland, protect your crops from mob trampling, and supercharge your crop growth with automatic water-sharing networks and light-independent farming!

- No Trampling Damage: Players and mobs can no longer turn your farmland into dirt by jumping on it.
- Light-Independent Turbo Growth: Crops planted on Muddy Farmland grow even in pitch darkness with a massive random-tick boost.
- Shared Water Networks: Adjacent Muddy Farmland blocks automatically connect into a network and refill themselves if any block is near water.
- Easy Conversion: Simply use a water potion on regular Farmland or a hoe on Mud to create Muddy Farmland instantly.
- Highly Compatible: Built with Datapack tags (
minecraft:supports_crops), allowing crops from other mods to grow seamlessly.

Q: Do I need water right next to every single block?
A: No! Connected Muddy Farmland blocks share a single water network. As long as one block in the group finds water nearby, the entire field stays hydrated.
Q: What happens when the block runs out of water?
A: When its internal reservoir hits zero, it safely converts back into regular vanilla Farmland while preserving the crop above.
Q: Can I use this mod in my modpack?
A: Absolutely! The mod is licensed under CC BY 4.0, so you can freely include it in any modpack as long as you give proper credit.
