About this project
What does Botania Overhaul add?
Botania Overhaul
Botania is a beautiful mod that asks you to do a great deal by hand. Botania Overhaul takes the rituals you have already learned and gives them machines, then adds two tiers of gear worth working toward once terrasteel stops feeling like an achievement.
Everything here needs Botania and nothing else. Applied Energistics 2 is optional.
Automation that needs no network
Five standalone machines, each one ritual in a box. Items go in one set of slots, products come out of another, so any pipe or import bus only ever sees finished goods.
- Automated Mana Pool — mana infusion
- Automated Alchemy Catalyst
- Automated Conjuration Catalyst
- Automated Pure Daisy
- Automated Elven Portal
They take AE2 acceleration cards if you have them, and run perfectly well without.
The Greenhouse
Nine generating flowers under glass, fed from one shared buffer of items. Endoflames, Gourmaryllises and Kekimuruses, all eating out of the same tray, piping their mana into the nearest spreader. Three upgrade lines with five tiers each: speed, efficiency, and luck, which lets a flower eat its fill and leave the item on the table.
Mana at scale
- Dragon Pool — holds a hundred ordinary mana pools
- Dragon Mana Spreader — 50,000 mana every tick
- Dragon Spark — a spark to match
- Mana Magnifier — right click any block that stores mana and it tells you the exact figure. Works on other mods' blocks too.
Endgame gear
Kill a Gaia Guardian II with the Yggdrasil Axe and it leaves behind a Yggdrasil Seed or its own Gaia Heart. Those build the two tiers above terrasteel:
Gaia — the terrasteel set bonus, plus extra hearts, movement speed, fall immunity, night vision underground, and immunity to wither. Comes with the Gaia Sword, which throws a bolt of mana with every swing.
Yggdrasil*— never wears out. Flight, complete invulnerability, an adjustable speed dial and jump height set from rebindable keys, five extra damage on every blow, and a stomach that never empties. Comes with the World Sword: sixteen damage, Looting V already on the blade.
Optional: Applied Energistics 2
With AE2 installed you also get a Pattern Encoder and a Botanical Assembler. Encode a Petal Apothecary, Runic Altar or Terrestrial Agglomeration recipe onto a pattern, drop it in the Assembler, and your ME network crafts Botania rituals like anything else — results injected straight back into storage, acceleration cards making it faster.
Without AE2 those two blocks are never registered at all. No dead entries in creative, none in NEI, no crash.
