About this project
What does BuildIt add?
BuildIt
**A mod that rewards genuine, creative building.**
Tired of servers turning into chest sprawl and holes in the ground? BuildIt gives players a real reason to build something intentional — claim an area, build something good, and get paid for it.
Features
**The BuildIt Block** — a 3-tile block, fully interactable from any part. Right-click to open its interface.
**Claim your space** — pick Small, Medium, or Large (all dimensions admin-configurable). Only what you build or change *after* claiming counts — no credit for existing terrain or structures.
**See your boundary** — a glowing particle outline traces the edge of your claimed area on demand, so you always know where you stand.
**Redstone-powered timer** — finish your build, then power the block to start the clock.
**Actively monitored** — the timer isn't just a delay. Disturb the build before it finishes and it cancels automatically. Change your mind? Cancel it yourself anytime.
**Real scoring, not just a block count**:
**Value** — what the build is made of
**Complexity** — rewards genuine variety: different block types, and stairs/slabs used thoughtfully score higher than a flat wall
**Palette** — a build with an intentional color scheme beats a chaotic mismash
**Automatic modded-block support** — stairs, slabs, logs, and resource/storage blocks from other mods are recognized automatically, no per-block configuration needed for most mods.
**Full admin control** — every area size, block value, and reward configurable through an in-game menu.
Possible Future Additions
Sound effects for claiming, starting, completing, and canceling a build
A way to check your current score mid-build, without waiting for the timer
An admin override list for the rare modded block that doesn't follow standard conventions
An expanded default block-value list out of the box
