About this project

What does BlastScars add?

BlastScars

In vanilla Minecraft, explosions simply destroy blocks and leave behind empty craters. BlastScars changes that by adding realistic aftermath and natural destruction patterns.

Instead of instantly disappearing, many blocks become damaged and transform into more destroyed vanilla variants. Stone can turn into cobblestone, grass can become dirt, and powerful explosions can leave behind scorched terrain, debris, and signs of destruction.

The damage depends on the explosion strength and distance from the impact point. Small explosions create minor damage, while massive explosions can completely reshape the landscape with deeper destruction and burned areas.

BlastScars uses natural damage distribution to avoid repetitive patterns. Every explosion leaves a unique mark on the world, creating realistic destruction while keeping the original Minecraft style.

BlastScars doesn't make explosions stronger — it makes their consequences more believable.
