About this project

What does AreaX add?

Area X

Area Suppression: When enough hostile creatures are eliminated within a short period in an area, Area Suppression will gradually form.

A suppressed area is divided into multiple stages, and the effect dissipates after a certain period.

Most settings can be modified via the configuration file.

Suppression Stages

All stages have a duration. Except for the final stage, which cannot have its duration refreshed, if no new effective kills occur within the time limit for other stages, the formation of Area Suppression will be canceled.

  • Evaluation Stage (100 points): Determines whether an Area of Suppression will form. Duration: 12000 ticks (600 seconds).
  • Stage One (300 points): Reduced hostile creature spawning. Duration: 24000 ticks (1200 seconds).
  • Stage Two (700 points): Reduced hostile creature spawning. Duration: 24000 ticks (1200 seconds).
  • Stage Three (1100 points): Reduced hostile creature spawning. Duration: 24000 ticks (1200 seconds).
  • Suppression Stage: Significantly reduced hostile creature spawning. Duration: 120000 ticks (6000 seconds).

Reduced hostile creature spawning: When attempting to spawn, there is a 0/20/40/65/90% chance that the creature will not spawn.

From Stage One to Stage Three, spawned hostile creatures will be randomly enhanced.

Progress Calculation

Type Progress
Normal Hostile Creature +1
Boss Hostile Creature +5
Player Death -10
---- ----

When calculating bonuses, the difference in the creature's health, attack power, and defense compared to the player's stats was also considered. For every doubling of this difference, an additional +1 was granted.

Suppression Conclusion

Upon reaching the Suppression Stage, Eligible Killing Players receive a one-time reward, as well as in-range buffs while the suppression effect lasts.

One-Time Reward Quantity Chance (%)
Iron Ingot 10 - 20 50
Diamond 2 100
Golden Apple 1 - 2 100
Persistent Effect Level
Luck 3
Hero of the Village 2

Multiplayer

When multiple players contribute kills within an area, the points required to reach the next stage will be additionally increased.

  • Eligible Killing Player: Kills >= (Area Points / Total Players with Kills in Area)
  • Additional Point Requirement Increase: Current Required Points * 2 ^ (Eligible Players - 1)
  • When rewards are settled, the chance of receiving one-time rewards is additionally increased (Number of Eligible Killing Players * 2%), with a cap of 20%.
