About this project
What does Surviving add?
Surviving is a friendly and performant temperature mod for Minecraft that
gives an intuitive, well-rounded survival experience, packed with features
that help or harm you.
A prepared player can weather the elements of Minecraft's hostile environments,
but if you strand yourself in the middle of nowhere, there's no second chance!
This mod also has deep customization via configs, JSON datapacks, and KubeJS,
perfect for modpacks or custom challenges!
💧 Thirst — drink water from sources, canteens, or bottles to stay hydrated; low thirst causes Dehydration
🌡️ Ambient Temperature — calculated from biome, time of day, altitude, weather, and nearby blocks (campfires, ice, torches...)
🔥❄️ Body Temperature — your body gradually exchanges heat with the environment; extreme cold or heat deals damage
💦 Sweat — run or stay in hot areas and you'll sweat, with a visual effect on screen
🌧️ Wetness — rain wets your character with realistic visual droplets
🧴 Dirty Water & Contamination — not all water is safe: drinking from swamps or jungles can contaminate you
🎒 Survival Items — bottles, bowls, canteen (with durability), and a water purifier
⚙️ Scalable Difficulty — thirst drain speed changes with Peaceful/Easy/Normal/Hard
