About this project

What does Universal Translator UTM add?

Universal Translator is a lightweight, client-side utility mod that brings the power of online translation straight into your Minecraft world — translating mod content into the language you've already selected in your game settings, automatically and instantly.
Key Features
Dynamic Language Synchronization — Mod items, GUIs, books and texts automatically adapt to the language chosen in your Minecraft language settings. Choose once, done.

In-Game Translator Menu — Open the mod settings and pick Translate to type any word, phrase, or sentence and get an instant translation — with a language picker that only lists languages Minecraft supports.

One-Key Item Translation — Hover over any item in your inventory, chest, or any container and press Y to open the translator with that item's name pre-filled and translated.

Mod-Only Focus — Translates content from other mods. Original Minecraft text, names and mechanics are never modified or touched.

Client-Side Only — Runs entirely on the client. Works on any server, in any world, and in any modpack — no need to install it on the server.

Fallback Safety — If a translation isn't available or the connection fails, text safely falls back to its original version. No crashes, no missing text, ever.
