About this project

What does Better Revive X Curios add?

Better Revive X Curios

Better Revive X Curios is a compatibility add-on that adds Curios support to Better Revive.

With the add-on installed, items equipped in Curios slots are included whenever Better Revive creates a grave. This also includes cosmetic Curios slots.

For every equipped item, the add-on remembers the original Curios slot type, slot position, item data and visibility settings. When the player recovers the grave, the items are automatically placed back into the same Curios slots they came from.

Features

  • Stores equipped Curios items when a Better Revive grave is created
  • Supports functional and cosmetic Curios slots
  • Remembers the original Curios slot type and position
  • Keeps the complete item data and components
  • Restores items back into their original slots
  • Keeps Curios visibility and render settings
  • Supports Curios items and slots added by other mods
  • No extra configuration or commands required
  • Multiplayer and dedicated-server support

Safe Item Handling

The add-on uses Better Revive's transactional add-on system to handle Curios inventories as safely as possible.

Before anything is changed in the player's Curios inventory, the affected slots are checked and the required item data is saved.

If something changes unexpectedly or the operation cannot be completed safely, the transaction is cancelled and rolled back instead of continuing with an incomplete inventory state. This helps prevent item loss or duplication.

Occupied or incompatible Curios slots are also never silently overwritten.

Fallback copies of the stored items are kept inside the grave data as well. This means the contents can remain recoverable even if the add-on becomes unavailable or an item cannot be restored immediately.

Support

If you find a bug, run into an incompatibility with another mod or have an idea for the add-on, feel free to leave a comment or open an issue.

Feedback is always useful, especially when it comes to compatibility with other mods that add their own Curios slots or items.
