Createch 2 Core
Core mod used in the Createch 2 Modpack
Quick answer
Which Createch 2 Core release should I use?
Createch 2 Core createch2core1.jar targets 1.21.1 with NeoForge. The project page does not say whether this file belongs on the client, dedicated server, or both. All 5 required mods have matching files.
Where it goes
Is Createch 2 Core required on the client, server, or both?
The project page does not say whether this file belongs on the client, dedicated server, or both.
The source does not explicitly classify this release as client-only or server-only.
What else does Createch 2 Core createch2core1.jar need?
createch2core1.jar. Change the file and its required mods may change too.
Install Create: Power Grid, Modern Industrialization, Architectury API, Create and 1 more first. We found matching files for this game-version and loader setup. 9 come through another mod in the chain.
9 extra mods were pulled in by other dependencies. Indented rows show who needs each one. We only count dependency files that match this setup. A file for another loader does not fill the gap.

About this project
What does Createch 2 Core add?
Createch 2 Core
Createch 2 Core is the Java backbone of the Createch 2 modpack for Minecraft 1.21.1 NeoForge.
As Createch 2 grew from a collection of integrations into a fully authored expert progression pack, some systems began requiring deeper control than recipes, datapacks, and KubeJS could reliably provide. Createch 2 Core exists to handle that layer.
The mod provides the low-level compatibility, Mixins, runtime validation, and performance infrastructure that allows Createch 2's many major systems to behave like parts of one cohesive game rather than independent mods sitting beside each other.
What Createch 2 Core Does
Electrical Engineering
Createch 2 Core connects Power Grid with Modern Industrialization so electricity behaves as an actual engineering system.
Machines are designed around their intended operating voltage and can react to improperly designed electrical networks through:
commissioning grace periods;
overvoltage warnings;
sustained overvoltage trips;
de-energized fault resets;
severe overvoltage consequences;
catastrophic faults at extreme voltage;
runtime verification that the electrical compatibility layer loaded correctly.
The goal is simple:
More power should require better engineering, not just bigger cables.
Performance and Large-Pack Compatibility
Createch 2 is an extremely large expert pack, so the core also contains targeted optimizations for systems that become expensive at Createch's scale.
Current integrations include:
optimized Eternal Starlight's Delight recipe removal;
JEI/KubeJS ingredient pre-filtering before JEI finishes constructing its ingredient database;
JDTE infusion-recipe presentation filtering;
Sable physics-pipeline instrumentation and compatibility;
reduced unnecessary recipe-viewer processing.
These are targeted fixes rather than general-purpose optimization replacements.
Multi Builder Tool Integration
Createch 2 Core provides the Java-side compatibility required for Createch 2's Multi Builder Tool integration, allowing standardized industrial structures and factory reconstruction systems to be controlled through the pack's KubeJS infrastructure.
This supports Createch 2's late-game philosophy of rebuilding and scaling proven factory designs without turning reconstruction into Creative Mode.
Runtime Validation
Critical integrations are checked when the game starts.
If an important Mixin or compatibility bridge fails to apply, Createch 2 Core is designed to identify the problem rather than silently allowing the pack to run with broken progression or altered mechanics.
Why Does This Mod Exist?
Createch 2 combines systems from dozens of major technology, survival, exploration, logistics, space, and industrial mods.
KubeJS remains responsible for much of the pack's progression, recipes, research, resource authority, and data-driven integration.
Createch 2 Core handles the systems that require deeper Java access:
machine behavior;
electrical consequences;
Mixins;
runtime hooks;
performance-sensitive compatibility;
cross-mod behavior;
low-level integration;
validation and diagnostics.
Together, these systems allow Createch 2 to treat its mod list as a single technological ecosystem.
Built for Createch 2
Createch 2 Core is developed specifically for Createch 2 and is not intended to function as a general-purpose standalone mod.
Its dependencies, compatibility patches, and balance assumptions are designed around the exact systems used by the modpack.
Minecraft: 1.21.1
Loader: NeoForge
Current Core Version: 0.7.6
Createch 2 Core exists so Createch 2 can go beyond changing recipes.
It lets the pack change how its machines interact, how its infrastructure fails, how its largest systems perform, and ultimately how hundreds of mods behave as one designed experience.
