Overview

EpicWands Reforged is a modern recreation and expansion of the classic wand concept, built for current Minecraft versions on both Fabric and Forge. The mod adds four completely different magical wands, each with its own visual identity, spell collection, sounds and playstyle, while also expanding into a larger survival progression system built around Arcanite, Void Crystals, Nether particle extraction and magical infusion.

Whether you want to rain lightning from the sky, protect yourself with magical barriers, unleash devastating explosions, curse enemies, fly, teleport across the battlefield or collect magical particles from the Nether, every branch of the mod is designed to feel distinct rather than simply being a stronger version of the previous one.

The Four Wands

Empire Wand

The Empire Wand is the versatile all-rounder. It combines fire, lightning, explosions, protection, mobility and utility magic, making it ideal for players who want a large toolbox instead of specializing in one element.

· Empire Block — defensive/block-based magical attack

· Empire Confusion — disorients and disrupts enemies

· Empire Escape — rapid escape ability

· Empire Explosive — powerful destructive explosion

· Empire Launch — launches the caster or target with magical force

· Empire Protect — protective magical aura

· Empire Spark — fast magical spark attack

· Comet — orange magical comet with explosive impact

· Explosion Wave — explosive area wave

· Flamethrower — continuous close-range fire stream

· Flame Wave — wide fire attack capable of striking multiple enemies

· Freeze — immobilizes targets and creates ice around them

· Leap — propels the player forward and upward

· Levitate — lifts a target into the air with magical particles

· Lightning Arrow — electrical projectile with a blue lightning trajectory

· Lightning Spark — fast electrical attack

· Lightning Storm — repeated lightning strikes

· Poison Wave — magical poison wave affecting nearby targets

Hades Wand

The Hades Wand specializes in dark magic, curses and destructive crimson energy. Its spells use a distinctive crimson-red and black visual identity, with a heavier focus on controlling enemies and applying dangerous magical effects rather than relying only on conventional projectiles.

Zeus Wand

Want lightning? A lot of lightning? The Zeus Wand revolves around electrical power, storms, mobility and bright blue/white effects. It is designed to feel energetic, spectacular and immediately recognizable in combat.

· ZeusFly — a dedicated mobility ability that lets the wielder take to the air

Power Wand

The Power Wand has a simpler physical design but certainly is not weak. It focuses on strong magical attacks, movement abilities and highly visible purple magical effects.

· Power Comet — a stronger comet-style projectile with a dramatic purple trajectory and impact

· Blink — teleports the caster roughly 8 blocks forward while temporarily disappearing and leaving a magical trail

· Additional offensive and utility spells that give the wand its own combat identity

Nether Particle Extraction

v2.1 introduces a new survival loop built around charged blocks in the Nether. Each magical family is tied to a different vanilla block type. Charged variants generate by replacing only their matching base block, so the worldgen remains thematic instead of scattering every type through ordinary Netherrack.

To extract the magic, right-click a charged block while holding a normal Glass Bottle. The bottle becomes the matching Particle Bottle and the charged block immediately returns to its normal vanilla form. Mining a charged block normally does not grant a Particle Bottle.

Hades nodes are tied to Bone Blocks, making Nether fossils especially valuable. Power nodes are tied to Nether Bricks, making Nether Fortress structures an important place to search for Power particles.

Particle Bottles

· Empire Particle Bottle — orange/gold magical identity

· Hades Particle Bottle — crimson magical identity

· Zeus Particle Bottle — blue/cyan magical identity

· Power Particle Bottle — purple magical identity

The Infusion Table

The Infusion Table converts extracted Nether particles into stable Infused Vials. Its interface contains two machine slots arranged vertically.

· Top slot: place a valid Particle Bottle

· Bottom slot: place an Empty Infusion Vial

· The process starts automatically when both ingredients are valid

· Infusion takes approximately 4 seconds (80 game ticks)

· A vertical progress indicator fills downward, visually pouring the magical energy into the vial

· The progress color matches the selected magic type

· The Particle Bottle is consumed and the empty vial becomes the corresponding Infused Vial

The wand-specific infused vials use animated colored glare rather than the standard vanilla purple enchantment glint, so each magic family remains visually recognizable.

Arcanite Progression

Arcanite is the end-game material tier of EpicWands Reforged. It is designed as the next progression step after Netherite and can be used to create powerful armor, tools and storage blocks.

Finding Arcanite

Arcanite Ore generates naturally in the Overworld between Y -64 and Y +16. It can generate in both Stone and Deepslate and normally appears in small veins of up to 3 ores. Mining Arcanite Ore drops Arcanite Fragments, and Fortune can increase the amount collected.

From Fragments to Gear

· Mine Arcanite Ore to collect Arcanite Fragments

· Craft the fragments into Arcanite Ingots

· Nine Arcanite Ingots can be crafted into an Arcanite Block

· Upgrade Netherite armor by surrounding the armor piece with Arcanite Ingots in a Crafting Table

· Craft Arcanite tools directly from Arcanite Ingots and Sticks using familiar vanilla-style tool recipes

Arcanite Armor

Arcanite Armor consists of a Helmet, Chestplate, Leggings and Boots. It is stronger than Netherite, with increased protection, durability and toughness, and it is fire resistant. Arcanite equipment is also the natural foundation for the mod's expanding infusion progression.

Arcanite Tools

The Arcanite Sword, Pickaxe, Axe, Shovel and Hoe sit above Netherite. They have 2300 durability, 10.0 mining speed, increased attack potential and 18 enchantability. Arcanite tools are fire resistant, enchantable and repairable using Arcanite Ingots.

Void Crystals

The End now contains Void Crystal Ore, adding another end-game resource to the progression. Void Crystal Ore generates inside End Stone in small veins, primarily between Y 40 and Y 80. It can only be successfully harvested with an Arcanite Pickaxe, reinforcing the intended progression from Arcanite into later end-game materials.

Controls

Each wand can hold multiple spells. Switch between the available spells and cast the currently selected ability. When changing spells, the selected spell is displayed to the player. Casting also displays the name of the spell being used, and these messages follow the player's selected language.

Visual Effects & Sound

A major focus of EpicWands Reforged is making magic feel visible and powerful. Spells can combine particle trajectories, colored trails, electrical effects, firework-style particles, impact particles, persistent magical auras, explosions, lightning strikes and movement trails.

· Empire — orange/gold, with additional elemental colors where appropriate

· Hades — crimson red and dark magical effects

· Zeus — blue, white and electrical effects

· Power — purple magical energy

Casting and impact sounds are matched to the type and strength of each ability, so smaller attacks do not necessarily sound the same as large comets, explosions or powerful area abilities.

Caster Protection

Several destructive abilities are intentionally designed not to immediately destroy their own caster. Large Empire spells in particular include self-protection behavior while still allowing the attack to affect enemies and the environment.

Multiplayer & Loader Support

EpicWands Reforged supports both singleplayer and multiplayer. v2.1.0 is available for Fabric and Forge on Minecraft 26.2. For multiplayer, install the appropriate loader build and required dependencies in the correct client/server environments. Server administrators can use the EpicWands commands to obtain and test the different wands.
