About this project
What does Weapon Selection - Blockd add?
Have you ever felt like Minecraft's combat system could use a little spice? This mod aims to bring that spice to Minecraft, without feeling out of place.
Weapons
For now, this mod contains 6 weapons, each with their own unique niche.
The Spear deals an average amount of damage and is a bit slower compared to a sword, but has extended range. Perfect for those who like playing it safe.
The Zweihander has slightly increased reach and a better sweep, but is far slower than a sword. This is a two-handed weapon, meaning you may not have anything in your offhand. It may also be enchanted with Cleave, further increasing the sweep damage. It's meant for crowd control, but functions well as a standalone weapon.
The Sledgehammer is considerably slow, but has increased knockback and temporarily dampens enemy movement. It may also be enchanted with Blunt Force, further increasing its devastating payload. Perfect for a juggernaut build.
The Throwing Knife is quite fast, but has slightly decreased range. As the name implies, it functions as a throwing weapon. As a bonus, the item itself has no durability. It acts like an auxiliary weapon.
The Dagger also has decreased range, but allows you to charge up a dash. It is perfect for a rushdown playstyle since the dash gives you some protection.
The Katana is another two-handed weapon that has slightly increased range. To make up for it being two-handed, you can initiate a parry that will reduce your damage taken, as well as triggering a state that increases the damage you deal for a very brief period. It's built for a high-risk playstyle, as the timing is quite strict.
