About this project

What does BetterRottenFleshAgain add?

BetterRottenFlesh

BetterRottenFlesh gives rotten flesh a few more useful purposes beyond being an emergency food source. It adds simple processing options for turning rotten flesh into Cooked Flesh, Leather, and other useful resources, along with salted variants and a new Flesh Broth food item.

Designed to stay lightweight and straightforward, BetterRottenFlesh also integrates automatically with OutpostZero and Mekanism when those mods are installed, avoiding duplicate items and making use of their existing content where appropriate.

Latest Update - Version 1.0.1

BetterRottenFlesh 1.0.1 adds the rotten flesh block as a space saver which can be used as a crude fuel and changes the salted rotten flesh recipe to use any #forge:salt item

Features

  • Smoker: Rotten Flesh -> Cooked Flesh
  • Campfire: Rotten Flesh -> Cooked Flesh
  • Furnace: Rotten Flesh -> Leather

  • Crafting: Rotten Flesh with Dried Kelp, or Salt when Mekanism is installed -> Salted Rotten Flesh
  • Smoker: Salted Rotten Flesh -> Cooked Salted Flesh
  • Campfire: Salted Rotten Flesh -> Cooked Salted Flesh

  • Mekanism Crusher (when installed): Rotten Flesh -> Bio Fuel
  • Crafting: Cooked Salted Flesh + Bowl + Milk Bucket -> Flesh Broth
  • Composter: Rotten Flesh -> Bone Meal

  • Brewing Stand: Awkward Potion + Rotten Flesh -> Rotten Potion
  • Brewing Stand: Rotten Potion + Gunpowder -> Splash Rotten Potion

  • Crafting: Rotten Flesh Block -> 9 x Rotten Flesh
  • Fuel: Rotten Flesh Block -> Smelts 8 Items

Note

If the OutpostZero mod is installed, BetterRottenFlesh recipes use OutpostZero's Cooked Flesh and replaces OutpostZero's furnace Cooked Flesh recipe with the Leather result.
