About this project

What does Survival Sense add?

Survival Sense HUD is a lightweight client-side quality-of-life mod for Minecraft Forge 1.16.5.

It adds a configurable survival HUD with useful information that appears only when needed:

  • Durability for equipped armor and the held item

  • Localized item names and durability values

  • Food, potion, and enchanted-book information

  • Free inventory slots

  • Warnings for low durability, low inventory space, low health, and low air

  • Four HUD positions to avoid conflicts with minimaps and other mods

  • English, Russian, and automatic language modes

  • Optional vanilla-style item icons

  • HUD visible over inventory and container screens

Installation:

  1. Install Minecraft Forge 36.2.34 for Minecraft 1.16.5.

  2. Download survival-sense-hud-1.16.5-0.4.2.jar.

  3. Place the file in the mods folder.

  4. Launch the game.

This is a client-side mod. It is not required on a server.

Beta notice:

Version 0.4.2 is a public beta release. It has been manually tested, but feedback is welcome—especially from players using large modpacks, minimaps, custom GUIs, unusual screen resolutions, and shaders.
