Adds a config option to let food heal HP again while Regeneration is active, for the HungerStrike mod.
Quick answer
Which Hunger Strike Addon release should I use?
Hunger Strike Addon hs_addon-1.0.0.jar targets 1.20.1 with Forge. The project page does not say whether this file belongs on the client, dedicated server, or both. All 1 required mods have matching files.
Where it goes
Is Hunger Strike Addon required on the client, server, or both?
The project page does not say whether this file belongs on the client, dedicated server, or both.
The source does not explicitly classify this release as client-only or server-only.
What else does Hunger Strike Addon hs_addon-1.0.0.jar need?
hs_addon-1.0.0.jar. Change the file and its required mods may change too.
Install Hunger Strike first. We found matching files for this game-version and loader setup.
We only count dependency files that match this setup. A file for another loader does not fill the gap.

About this project
What does Hunger Strike Addon add?
Hunger Strike Addon
A small compat addon for HungerStrike that adds one missing config toggle.
The problem
HungerStrike replaces vanilla regen with a "eat food to heal HP" mechanic. Internally, whenever the player has the Regeneration potion effect, HungerStrike pins the hunger bar at full (20) — which means eating food can never register as "gained hunger," so food stops healing HP entirely while Regeneration is active. This is baked into the base mod with no way to turn it off.
What this addon does
Hunger Strike Addon patches that one check via Mixin (the original HungerStrike jar is never modified) and exposes it as a config option:
[General]
allowFoodHealDuringRegeneration = true
true (default) — food keeps healing HP normally even while Regeneration is active.
false — restores HungerStrike's original, unmodified behavior.
Nothing else about HungerStrike is touched. If HungerStrike isn't present, the mixin safely no-ops instead of crashing.

Minecraft 1.20.1
Forge 47+
HungerStrike 8.0.0 (hard dependency — this addon does nothing on its own)
Installation
Install HungerStrike as usual.
Drop this jar in your mods folder alongside it.
(Optional) Edit config/hs_addon-common.toml to flip allowFoodHealDuringRegeneration.
Notes
Client + server both need the mod installed (it patches server-side logic).
Config changes require a restart to take effect.
