About this project

What does Engineer's Tool Upgrades add?

Engineer's Tool Upgrades Title

Engineer's Tool Upgrades is an Immersive Engineer Addon that adds new upgrades to existing tools and new QoL features like linking items to Engineer Manual Entries.

New upgrades

Magnetic Drill Extender

Reach a Little Further

The Magnetic Drill Extender is a Drill upgrade, It adds a weighted, magnetically-extended attachment to the drill's housing, letting the wielder mine blocks slightly further away than they otherwise could.

No longer mining ceiling would be a hassle!

Flashlight

Light the Way

The Flashlight is an upgrade for both the Drill and the Heavy Plated Shield. It has no effect on its own if simply carried in your hand; it must be installed onto one of those two tools at the Engineer's Workbench.

Once installed, the Flashlight projects a beam of light out from the wielder's eyes in whatever direction they are looking, brightest up close and dimming with distance. It works for free the entire time it's equipped, with no Flux cost and nothing to run out of.

Fluid Sensor

Know Before You Dig

Nobody enjoys drilling straight into an open pocket of lava. The Fluid Sensor is a Drill upgrade that watches every block about to be mined, checking not just the targeted block but the drill's entire mining area for whichever drillhead is currently fitted, and sounds an alarm the instant any of it borders lava.

Antiblast Plate

Duck and Cover

The Antiblast Plate is a Shield upgrade. It is built specifically to absorb the force of an explosion rather than a blade or a bullet.<np> Its effect only applies while you are actively blocking with the Shield.

New Drill Heads

Lead Drill Head

More Mass, More Power

With its big less mass this Drillhead built for speed and damage rather than coverage. Where the Steel Drillhead carves out a wide 3x3 area with every pass, the Lead Drillhead narrows its focus to a single block, using the material saved to spin far faster than any standard head.

Prospector Drill Head

Handle With Care

Like the Lead Drillhead, the Prospector Drillhead is a specialised tool that allows every block it breaks is affected as though harvested with a §2Silk Touch§r enchanted tool.
