About this project
What does Power Attracts Power add?
This mod makes the world progressively more dangerous as the player grows stronger and ventures deeper underground.
Mob Scaling
- Mob level is based on the experience of nearby players within 64 blocks.
- Mobs also gain +5 levels for every 20 blocks below Y=125.
- Mobs spawned from spawners or spawn eggs receive an additional +10 levels.
- Higher-level mobs have increased health and damage. The scaling multiplier is calculated as:
Multiplier = 1.0 + (Level^1.3 / 100.0)
Moon Phases & Wolves
- During a Full Moon, surface monsters gain +50% health and damage.
- During a New Moon, surface monsters become weaker.
- Wolves, including those from Born in Chaos, become more aggressive during a Full Moon (×1.50) and less aggressive during a New Moon (×0.75).
- Surface mob spawn rates also change depending on the current moon phase.
Nighttime Hordes
- At night, monsters have up to a 50% chance to spawn an additional copy of themselves when they spawn.
Spawner Enhancements
- High-level mobs spawned from spawners can automatically receive random beneficial potion effects, such as Speed, Strength, Resistance, and more.
Reinforced Spawners
- Spawners are significantly harder to mine, with a mining speed of 5.0 / 80.0, making them take considerably longer to break than obsidian.
- Spawners have 100% blast resistance and cannot be destroyed by Creepers or TNT.
Enhanced Celestials Compatibility
- Fully compatible with Enhanced Celestials and does not interfere with its Blood Moon or Blue Moon events.
