About this project
What does Epic Fight - Instinct Reserve add?
This is a passive skill mod made for my Modpack, Realm of the Titans.
The mod isn't really meant to be used by itself, but I figured I might as well share it.
Instinct Reserve
Instinct Reserve is an automatic defensive passive skill that reacts to incoming attacks before they hit you.
When an incoming attack would strike you, Instinct Reserve automatically uses your equipped Dodge or supported Guard skill.
How It Works
- If you only have a Dodge Skill equipped, Instinct Reserve will automatically dodge.
- If you only have a supported Guard Skill equipped, Instinct Reserve will automatically block.
- If you have both a Dodge and supported Guard equipped, it has a 50/50 chance of choosing between blocking and dodging.
- Auto-blocking automatically turns your character and camera toward the attacker.
- Automatic dodges and blocks do not consume stamina.
- Manual dodging and blocking still work normally and do not consume Instinct Reserve charges.
- Attacks that already miss, are already blocked, or bypass dodging will not waste a charge.
- If no compatible defensive skill is available, Instinct Reserve will not activate or waste a charge.
Charges
Instinct Reserve can store up to 7 reactions.
Each successful automatic dodge or block consumes 1 charge.
1 charge regenerates every 30 seconds.
Using another reaction restarts the regeneration timer.
Dodge Compatibility
Instinct Reserve works with Epic Fight Dodge Skills, including Dodge Skills from Weapons of Miracles.
This also includes special support for WOM Dodge Master.
Guard Compatibility
Most normal Guard Skills can be used for automatic blocking.
Special support is included for:
- WOM: Perfect Bulwark
- WOM: Vengeful Parry
Vengeful Parry has special behavior. Instinct Reserve may use it as a normal automatic block, but it will not automatically activate the Vengeful Parry stance.
If you manually enter Vengeful Parry's stance, Instinct Reserve will completely back off until the stance ends.
Skills That Will NOT Auto-Block
The following skills are intentionally excluded from Instinct Reserve's automatic blocking:
- Epic Sanji: Armement Haki
- WOM: Buster Parade
- WOM: Shulker Cloak
- WOM: Soul Protecting
Having one of these equipped does not disable Instinct Reserve completely.
For example, if Buster Parade or Armement Haki is equipped alongside a Dodge Skill, Instinct Reserve can still automatically dodge.
These skills simply remain manual-only and will never be activated by Instinct Reserve's auto-block system.
