About this project

What does Chunky GUI add?

Chunky GUI

English

Chunky GUI adds an easy-to-use in-game interface for Chunky, making Minecraft world pregeneration much easier to configure and monitor without relying on commands for every step.

Chunky still performs the actual chunk generation. Chunky GUI gives you a visual way to set up, monitor, pause, resume, cancel, and review pregeneration tasks.

Features

Easy World Pregeneration

  • Start Chunky pregeneration directly from an in-game GUI.
  • Supports:
    • Overworld
    • Nether
    • End
    • Custom dimensions
  • Choose the generation center.
  • Use your current player position as the center.
  • Set the target radius and generation shape.
  • Preview the generation area before starting.

Multi-Dimension Task View

Each active or resumable dimension has its own task card.

You can quickly see:

  • Current dimension
  • Generation progress
  • Generated / target chunks
  • Generation speed
  • Elapsed time
  • Estimated time remaining
  • Generation area
  • Estimated disk usage

You can also prepare another dimension while a different dimension is still generating.

Task Controls

Manage generation directly from the GUI:

  • Start
  • Pause
  • Resume
  • Cancel

Resume Unfinished Tasks

Chunky GUI can restore unfinished tasks after:

  • Leaving and reopening a singleplayer world
  • Restarting a dedicated server

This also works with Nether, End, and custom-dimension tasks.

Generation History

View previous completed or cancelled generation tasks.

History includes useful information such as:

  • Dimension
  • Radius
  • Progress
  • Generation speed
  • Elapsed time

Individual history records can also be deleted.

Multiplayer Support

Singleplayer

The world owner can manage Chunky GUI without enabling cheats.

Dedicated Server

Players with permission level 2 or higher can manage generation tasks.

Other players can still open the GUI and view the current generation status.

Languages

  • Traditional Chinese

  3. Start Minecraft and open Chunky GUI.
  4. Choose a dimension.
  5. Set the center, radius, and shape.
  6. Check the preview and estimated generation information.
  7. Start the task.
  8. Use the task card to monitor, pause, resume, or cancel generation.

Supported Platforms & Requirements

Chunky GUI 1.2.0 supports Minecraft 1.21.1 on:

  • NeoForge
  • Forge
  • Fabric

NeoForge

Forge

Fabric

  • Minecraft 1.21.1
  • Java 21
  • Fabric Loader 0.16.14 or newer
  • Fabric API 0.116.15+1.21.1 or newer
  • Chunky for Fabric 1.4.23 or newer

Chunky is required and must be installed separately.

Please install the Chunky version that matches your current mod loader.

Chunky and Chunky GUI must use the same Minecraft version and mod loader.

Known Issues

  • When the Minecraft window is very small or the GUI scale makes the interface too narrow, the generation-center input boxes may not line up perfectly.

    • This is only a visual issue and does not affect generation.
  • If Minecraft is closed or crashes unexpectedly while a task is running, that task may appear as Completed in the history.

    • This does not affect the generated world.
    • You can simply delete the incorrect history record.

Chunky GUI(繁體中文)

Chunk

Chunky GUI

  • Dedicated Server

Dedicated Server

Minecraft 1.21.1

  • NeoForge
  • Forge
  • Fabric

NeoForge

Forge

Fabric

  • Minecraft 1.21.1
  • Java 21
  • Fabric Loader 0.16.14
  • Fabric API 0.116.15+1.21.1
  • Chunky for Fabric 1.4.23

Chunky

Completed
