About this project
What does General Tools add?
General Tools — The All-in-One Swiss Knife
A versatile multi-tool for Minecraft 1.20.1 Forge. The Swiss Knife stores up to 7 tools (Sword, Pickaxe, Axe, Shovel, Hoe, Shears, Flint & Steel) and seamlessly switches between them on the fly.
Key features:
- Full tool inheritance — mining speed, correct-tool checks, block interactions, enchantments (Efficiency, Fortune, Silk Touch, Sharpness...) and attack damage are fully delegated to the equipped tool
- Auto / Locked modes — toggle via GUI; auto mode picks the right tool for the block you're looking at and switches textures instantly
- Universal wrench — recognized as a wrench via standard tags (
forge:tools/wrench,forge:wrenches,c:tools/wrench,c:wrenches), works across mods: AE2, Create, GregTech CEu, Mekanism, Pipez and more. Wrench capability is always on; locked Wrench mode disables other tools, other modes use wrench and tools together - Convenience — shear sheep, Mending repairs tools inside the knife, one-click crafting recipe, custom tooltip showing equipped tools & current mode
- Safety — blacklist system (by item ID, item tag, or the built-in
generaltools:blacklisttag) prevents unwanted tools from being placed - Added a quick mode switch wheel, default is opened with G
- Bilingual (Simplified Chinese / English)
