Coolstuff

Coolstuff is a Vanilla+ mod that expands Minecraft with cool, surprising, and occasionally absurd mechanics while preserving the feel of the original game.

The mod enhances familiar mobs, projectiles, combat interactions, and items instead of replacing Minecraft’s core gameplay.

Features

• Parry ghast fireballs and increase their speed and power with every successful hit
• Reach new fireball phases as the parry count increases
• Create a black hole after reaching 100 parries
• Encounter UltraGhasts capable of firing multiple fireballs
• Watch ghasts occasionally parry fireballs back at you
• Throw cakes containing various fillings and special effects
• Fight Spore Creepers that launch themselves at their targets
• Encounter Frostlings that throw snowballs and cover your screen with snow
• Face Shield Skeletons that react to incoming attacks
• Find hostile Zombie Wolves, wolf packs, and rare Wolf Jockeys
• Launch fireballs using the Fireball Launcher
• Accumulate parries faster using the Badminton Racket
• Apply emissive effects to existing armor trims
• Configure mechanics, spawn chances, sounds, and visual effects through the in-game configuration menu

Requirements

• Minecraft 1.21.1
• NeoForge 21.1.242 or newer
• Java 21
• Coolstuff must be installed on both the client and server

AI Disclosure

Coolstuff was developed with the assistance of generative AI tools, primarily ChatGPT(CODEX), which were used to help write and refine a substantial portion of the mod’s code and publishing text.

The concepts, mechanics, game design, textures, models, sounds, testing, balancing, and overall creative direction were created and managed by me(Wentory).

AI was used as a development tool and not as a replacement for the creative work behind the mod.
