About this project
What does Create: CAES add?
Create: CAES (Compressed Air Energy Storage)
A battery for your Create network. No wires, no electricity.
An Air Engine bolted to a Pressure Vessel watches the network it is on. When there is stress capacity going spare, it runs as a compressor and fills the vessel with Compressed Air. When the network runs short, the same block acts as a motor and spends that air to supply the missing capacity.
It switches on its own. There is nothing to wire up and nothing to toggle, and the shaft keeps turning the same way and at the same speed it already was.
