About this project
What does TAOV-II Core add?
Taov Core
Summary
Taov Core is the shared foundation of the Taovmod II series. It is not meant to be a large standalone content mod; instead, it provides the common APIs, runtime services, math utilities, UI hooks, and compatibility glue used by the other Taov modules.
Taovmod II is a modular rebuild of the original Taovmod project for Minecraft 1.21.1 on NeoForge, centered around the Sable physics ecosystem, Synaxis compatibility APIs, Create, and related vehicle-combat tooling. Taov Core is the base layer that keeps those modules speaking the same language.
Features
- Shared Taov APIs and value objects used by Taov Arcade, Taov Weapons, and future Taov modules.
- Sable and Synaxis integration helpers for physics-body lookup, body clusters, force-load handling, and runtime compatibility.
- Ballistics, trajectory, prediction, collision sweep, and numeric solver utilities for vehicle combat systems.
- Targeting profile infrastructure, including reloadable datapack-driven target definitions.
- Weapon HUD foundations, seat optics, rangefinding, and shared client/server packets.
- Impact, collision, and contact telemetry services used by physics-aware gameplay.
- Shared client-side compatibility points for terrain-map data from optional minimap/world-map mods.
- Common registry, block, language, and creative-tab helpers for Taov module development.
For Players
Install Taov Core when another Taovmod II module asks for it. By itself, it mostly works behind the scenes; its job is to make Taov modules load, communicate, and integrate with the same physics and UI foundation.
For Developers
Mod ID: taov_core
Taov Core is the recommended integration point for code that wants to interact with the Taovmod II ecosystem without depending directly on every gameplay module. It contains shared contracts for targeting, weapon HUD events, seat optics, body cluster views, collision queries, projectile math, and common runtime services.
The module is designed to keep Sable-specific details contained where possible while still exposing the practical hooks needed by physics-heavy Minecraft mods. If you are building a Taov addon, start here before depending on Taov Arcade or Taov Weapons directly.
Targeting profiles can be provided through datapacks, and the Java APIs are intended for NeoForge 1.21.1 / Java 21 development.
