About this project

What does Bedrock Pistons add?

Bedrock Pistons

A piston that's afraid of nothing. Bedrock Pistons adds two new blocks — the Bedrock Piston and the Bedrock Sticky Piston — able to push bedrock, obsidian, anvils, and any block that's normally unbreakable or immovable in vanilla.

Features

  • Pushes bedrock, obsidian, and anvils, on top of all normally pushable blocks.
  • Can also push a vanilla piston or another bedrock piston.
  • Same redstone behavior as vanilla pistons: extends/retracts on signal.
  • Safety preserved: blocks with a block entity (chests, furnaces...) and blocks destroyed by pistons remain unpushable.
  • Configurable push distance (32 blocks by default).
  • Dedicated creative tab.
  • Custom texture visually distinguishing the sticky variant from the regular one.

Crafting

  • Bedrock Piston: vanilla piston in the center, surrounded by obsidian, with an eye of ender on top and two diamonds on the sides (full 3x3 grid).
  • Bedrock Sticky Piston: same shape with a sticky piston in the center.
  • Alternative: Bedrock Piston + slime ball (shapeless recipe) → sticky variant.

Supported versions

1.21.1 · 1.21.4 · 1.21.8 · 1.21.10 · 1.21.11 (NeoForge)

Compatibility:

Compatibility: Honey Piston support requires version V2 or higher.

Roadmap

This mod will soon be ported to newer versions between 1.15 and 1.21.x, and will feature compatibility with other mods such as Honey Piston and Washable Pistons.
