About this project

What does Morphic add?

Morphic

Morphic is a mob transformation and shapeshifting mod for Minecraft 26.2 on Fabric.

Defeating mobs in survival unlocks their forms, allowing players to transform into any creature with accurate hitboxes, health scaling, custom physics, synced combat animations, authentic sounds, and active abilities.

Features

Transformations & Physics

  • Accurate Hitboxes & Camera: Eye heights and collision boxes scale directly with each mob. Squeeze into 1-block spaces as a small mob or play with elevated viewpoints as larger entities.
  • Health Scaling: Max health adjusts to the creature's vanilla values (e.g. 2 hearts for a Chicken, 100 hearts for the Ender Dragon).
  • Movement Mechanics:
    • Flight: Bats, Phantoms, Allays, Blazes, Withers, Ender Dragons, and Parrots feature full 3D flight with realistic banking and pitch.
    • Swimming: Squids, Dolphins, and aquatic mobs swim with full 3D pitch and natural underwater momentum.
    • Climbing: Spiders and Cave Spiders can scale vertical surfaces.
    • Hazard Resistance: Striders walk across lava, while aquatic mobs breathe underwater.

Active Mob Abilities (Default Key: R)

Over 40 mob types have dedicated active abilities with HUD cooldown indicators:

  • Ghast: Emits a warning screech and turns red-eyed before launching an explosive fireball.
  • Ender Dragon: Fires lingering Dragon's Breath clouds.
  • Guardian & Elder Guardian: Fires a tracking particle laser beam that damages targets.
  • Spider & Cave Spider: Shoots cobweb projectiles to trap mobs in webs and Slowness.
  • Skeletons & Variants: Shoots ranged arrows (Slowness for Strays, Poison for Bogged).
  • Breeze: Launches explosive wind charges.
  • Creeper: Primes and detonates an explosion.
  • Enderman: Teleports forward up to 32 blocks in the crosshair direction.
  • Evoker: Summons a line of snapping fangs along the ground.
  • Armadillo: Rolls into a protective shell with high damage reduction.
  • Warden: Charges and fires a sonic boom through obstacles.
  • Wither: Launches explosive wither skulls.

Animations & Audio

  • Attack Animations: Real-time combat animations for mobs like the Iron Golem (uppercut), Ravager (headbutt), Warden (slam), Hoglin (tusk toss), and Creaking (arm slash).
  • Authentic Audio: Morphed players periodically play their mob's ambient sounds (Pigs oink, Blazes crackle, Zombies groan). Taking damage or dying plays that mob's specific sound files instead of player grunts.
  • First-Person Polish: Humanoid morphs show appropriate arm textures in first-person view. Folded-arm mobs (Villagers, Evokers, Witches) hide disconnected player hands when empty-handed.
