About this project
What does MatchaKeet add?
MatchaKeet is a very small mod I made mostly for personal reasons: I (and my GF) wanted my girlfriend’s bird in Minecraft.
She’s based on the vanilla green parrot and behaves like one for the most part, but exists as her own entity and joins the world already tamed to the host. I decided I'll also make her effectively immortal so she can follow you around without getting killed or constantly attracting hostile mobs since adding my GF's bird only for it to die would be… suboptimal on my part.
There are simple commands to disable or re-enable her in a world, mainly because having a bird around can get annoying when I’m using a save for mod testing or debugging. Just use /matcha <enable|disable> if you're doing something that really does not require a bird.
Additionally, Matcha has a special function where if you feed her seeds, she will trigger the effect Matcha's Grace, which is effectively Regen 0.5 and Saturation 0.5, for all players in a radius around Matcha for 60 seconds.
