About this project

What does Compass Manhunt Helper add?

This mods helps you be faster when you use the Compass Manhunt mod.

Commands :

Claim the game as host and setup :

/function hunt:setup

Run setup on solid ground or problems could appear due to world spawn.

Once you've done that, add the teams :

/team join <player> hunter
/team join <player> runner

If you want spectators, just don't give them a team. They'll automatically be put in spectator mod.

They won't be able do quit spectator even when opped, you need to add them the 'admin' tag to stop the forced gamemode.

Only do the "Sticky" player if you are using v1. Else go to the next part.

You then need to add a "sticky player". It will keep the hunters from leaving while the runners take their advance. The sticky player needs to be a hunter (else the hunters will be tped on the runners and spawn on them). If the host is hunter, it is recomended it is also the sticky player. Else, give this perk to a trusted player (because he will be able to move, and will bring the others with him). There should only be 1 sticky player.

/tag add <player> sticky

If you are running v2 ore more, the "sticky" spot is where you are when you run setup.

You can then specify the runners advance time (default 2 mins). It is counted in ticks. If you want no advance, consider added 5 ticks to make sure it wont break.

/scoreboard player set #timer variables <amount>

Once you've set up everything, just run this command to prepare :

/function hunt:prepare

Everyone will be tped on the sticky and put in spectator mode. Spectator players won't be sticked and are free from this point. This is the last moment you can undo your config with :

/function hunt:cancel

Once the next command is executed, running cancel will cause bugs. Once executed, restart by claiming host (setup). If something happens, you still can to this from the original mod :

/manhunt reset
/manhunt reset confirm

It'll recreate a world with default config.

To start the manhunt, run :

/function hunt:run

The runners will be freed. Hunters will stay on the sticky. Once the advance reaches 0, the hunters are freed and get their compass.

Every runner has one life. This cannot be changed yet, and natural death counts too (plan on changing). Once there's no runner left, hunters win. Runner wins if anybody gets the "Free the End" achievement (dragon's dead).

When the game ends, everyone gets tped to spawn in advanture, worldborder shrinks and gamerules like pvp turns off. From this point the world cannot be re-used, use the manhunt reset commands to restart (see above).
