Crystal Magic

Crystal Magic is a Minecraft mod that introduces throwable spell crystals, offering new options for combat, mobility, and crowd control. Instead of traditional mana bars or spellbooks, magical power is condensed into stackable crystals crafted through altar rituals.

How It Works

Progression follows a clear sequence from resource gathering to ritual crafting:

1. Mine Ores: Find Crystal Ore or Deepslate Crystal Ore underground to collect Crystal Shards.
2. Craft Blank Crystals: Combine shards to craft inert Blank Crystals.
3. Build the Ritual Setup: Place a Ritual Altar in the center and surround it with Ritual Pedestals.
4. Perform Rituals: Place a Blank Crystal on the central altar, put catalyst items on the surrounding pedestals, and create specialized spell crystals.

The Crystal Arsenal

All crystals stack up to 16 and activate immediately upon being thrown.

Offensive & Damage

• Fire Crystal: Creates an explosion on impact that sets nearby targets on fire.
• Lightning Crystal: Strikes the impact point with lightning and channels chain lightning to nearby mobs.
• Sonic Crystal: Emits a powerful sonic wave that deals heavy damage and strong knockback.
• Solar Crystal: Burns and blinds enemies. Deals double damage if used during the daytime.
• Blood Crystal: Drains health from nearby enemies, weakening them while healing you.

Crowd Control & Field Control

• Ice Crystal: Freezes water into ice on impact and applies Slowness and Weakness to nearby targets.
• Wind Crystal: Generates a strong gust of air that launches surrounding enemies into the sky.
• Void Crystal: Pulls surrounding mobs into a central point and inflicts Wither.
• Gravity Crystal: Forcefully slams nearby enemies straight down to the ground.
• Chrono Crystal: Locks surrounding enemies in place, disabling their movement.
• Toxic Crystal: Releases a green cloud that inflicts Poison, Nausea, and Hunger.
• Radiance Crystal: Blinds nearby enemies and marks them with the Glowing effect.
• Rift Crystal: Teleports surrounding enemies to random locations away from you.

Utility & Tactics

• Anchor Crystal: Instantly teleports you to the impact point and grants temporary resistance.
• Shadow Crystal: Grants you Invisibility, Speed, and Night Vision upon use.
• Healing Crystal: Heals nearby players with Regeneration and Absorption while damaging hostile mobs.
• Earth Crystal: Spawns a small cobblestone barrier on impact for instant cover.

Blocks & Materials

• Crystal Ore & Deepslate Crystal Ore: Generates in the world and drops Crystal Shards when mined.
• Ritual Altar & Ritual Pedestals: The core blocks used to craft all spell crystals.
• Dark Stone Set: Includes Dark Stone, Darker Stone, and Chiseled Dark Stone for building and crafting.

Mod Compatibility

• JEI (Just Enough Items): Includes full recipe support, showing central items, required pedestal catalysts, and outputs for all altar rituals.
