Faktocraft
A modern port of IndustrialCraft 2, BuildCraft and Logistics Pipes, brought together into a single mod: electrical machines, power grids, item and fluid pipes, and logistics.
Quick answer
Which Faktocraft release should I use?
faktocraft-1.20.1-0.1.0.jar targets 1.20.1 with Forge. The project page does not say whether this file belongs on the client, dedicated server, or both. No extra mods listed for this file.
Where it goes
Is Faktocraft required on the client, server, or both?
The project page does not say whether this file belongs on the client, dedicated server, or both.
The source does not explicitly classify this release as client-only or server-only.
What else does faktocraft-1.20.1-0.1.0.jar need?
faktocraft-1.20.1-0.1.0.jar. Change the file and its required mods may change too.
This file does not list any required mods. Do not add a library just because a different file uses it.
We only count dependency files that match this setup. A file for another loader does not fill the gap.

About this project
What does Faktocraft add?
Faktocraft

Faktocraft is a modern port of several classic tech mods - IndustrialCraft 2, BuildCraft and Logistics Pipes - rebuilt as a single, coherent mod: electrical machines, tiered power grids, item and fluid logistics, and automated mining.
⚠️ Faktocraft is in its first beta version. Bugs may occur - please report them!
💡 Playing with JEI and Jade is highly recommended: JEI shows every machine recipe in-game, and Jade shows live machine info (energy, progress, tier) when you look at a block. Faktocraft integrates with both.
Wiki
The official wiki is available at pedrocmota.github.io/faktocraft-forge (English and Portuguese). It is still under development, so some pages may change.
Getting started
Tap rubber trees with a treetap, cook the resin into rubber and build your first cables and generator. From there the tech tree climbs from simple ore-doubling setups to fully automated factories.
Power system
- Five voltage tiers, from Low to Ultra. Every cable and machine has a tier: a machine fed a higher tier than it accepts explodes, so plan your grid!
- Transformers step power up and down between tiers; circuit breakers let you flip whole sections of the network on and off
- Generators: solar (4 tiers, day/night aware), wind (height matters), geothermal (runs on lava), combustion (fuel and biogas)
Machines
Over 20 electrical machines covering ore processing (crusher, ore washing plant, thermal centrifuge), metalwork (alloy smelter, metal former, extruder, rolling), manufacturing (circuit assembler, canning machine, polymerizer, fermenter, distillery) and endgame matter replication (scan an item, fabricate UU-matter and replicate it). Upgrades change how machines run: overclockers trade energy for speed, efficiency upgrades cut energy use, and tension upgrades let a machine accept a higher voltage tier.
Logistics
- Transparent item pipes. Stone pipes are the backbone; gold pipes speed items up
- A chassis + module system inspired by Logistics Pipes: dock a chassis against an inventory and fit it with modules - sink (accepts items), provider (offers stock), extractor, supplier (keeps a target amount stocked), collector, ejector and disposal. Item filters decide what each module handles.
- Request Table: ask the network for an item and it finds the ingredients and drives your machines to craft it, including multi-step chains
- Crafting and recipe pipes teach the network what each machine produces.
Quarry
A BuildCraft-style quarry: Put the quarry next a landmark, give it power and watch the frame build itself while the drill digs down layer by layer.
Gear
Jetpacks (including an elytra hybrid mode), nano and quantum armor, electric tools, a prospector for ore scanning, and a teleport anchor network.
World and ores
Rubber trees, plus new ores: tin, lead, silver, lithium, sulfur, iridium and underground oil pockets.
Versions
- Minecraft 1.20.1 with Forge is the only supported version. The mod will move to newer versions once Minecraft stabilizes its Vulkan support.
Bugs and feedback
Bug reports go to the GitHub issue tracker.
