Spell Recycling

Turn unwanted scrolls and spell books into Arcane Essence.

An addon for Iron's Spells 'n Spellbooks that gives your junk spell items a use besides clutter. Drop a single scroll or spell book anywhere in a crafting grid and craft it into arcane essence the spell or spell book is consumed in the process.

Payout

Every spell an item carries pays out based on its level and rarity:

Essence = Rarity x Spell Level

Rarity
Common 1
Uncommon 2
Rare 3
Epic 4
Legendary 5

Examples

  • Level 1 Common → 1 essence
  • Level 2 Rare → 6 essence
  • Level 5 Legendary → 25 essence

Spell books with multiple equipped spells sum all of them. Output is capped at Arcane Essence's max stack size (64), even if the calculated total would be higher.
