Without a sound: Expanded Enchantments is an equipment-focused enchantment mod for Minecraft 26.2 with support for both Fabric and NeoForge.

The mod adds 31 custom enchantments for swords, axes, spears, tridents, bows, crossbows, shields, fishing rods, armor, and maces. Each enchantment has its own equipment restrictions, level scaling, activation rules, cooldowns, particles, sounds, and gameplay feedback.

All enchantments are validated server-side and are designed to preserve vanilla damage calculation, armor, shields, projectile collision, entity behavior, and defensive mechanics.

Enchantments

Sword Enchantments

Sword Aura

  • Sword-only enchantment.
  • Range: 6/7/8/9/10 blocks for levels I-V.
  • Releases a 2.5-block-wide frontal sword wave.
  • Uses the player's horizontal facing direction.
  • Works on both attacks and air swings.
  • Damage: 40%/55%/70%/85%/100% of attack damage.
  • Disabled while blocking or while a blocking screen is open.
  • Conflicts with Sweeping Edge and Combo Strike.

Combo Strike

  • Sword-only enchantment.
  • Consecutive hits on the same target build a combo.
  • Uses a two-cell charge display.
  • The final-hit-ready state is shown in red.
  • Later hits deal increased damage.
  • Conflicts with Sword Aura but not with Battle Momentum.

Frostbite

  • Restricted to swords and spears.
  • Successful direct melee hits add vanilla Frozen Ticks.
  • Levels I/II/III add 30/45/60 frozen ticks.
  • Applies Slowness I/I/II for 40/60/60 ticks.
  • Uses vanilla freezing behavior.
  • Conflicts with Fire Aspect and Bleeding.
  • Independent damage sources cannot trigger it.

Shield Enchantments

Shield Bash

  • Shield-only enchantment.
  • Bash targets in front of the player, applying knockback and Slowness.
  • A successful swing starts the cooldown even without a hit.
  • Cooldown: 50 ticks.
  • Disabled while inventory, chat, or other blocking screens are open.

Deflect

  • Shield-only enchantment.
  • Reflects normal arrows, tipped arrows, and spectral arrows.
  • Uses the blocking player's look direction.
  • Reflected speed is 90% of the original speed.
  • Reflected damage is 80% of the original damage.
  • Transfers projectile ownership.
  • Each projectile can be reflected only once.
  • Does not reflect explosive arrows or unrelated projectiles.

Crossbow Enchantments

Magazine

  • Crossbow-only enchantment.
  • Loads multiple arrows and fires them in rapid succession.
  • Conflicts with Cluster Shot and Multishot.

Cluster Shot

  • Crossbow-only enchantment.
  • Fires several tightly grouped arrows.
  • Each arrow has reduced damage.
  • Every generated arrow resolves its own damage.
  • Conflicts with Magazine and Multishot.

Armor Piercing

  • Crossbow-only enchantment.
  • Reduces effective armor against crossbow attacks.
  • Especially useful against heavily armored targets.
  • Damage still follows vanilla defense calculations.

Spear Enchantments

Bleeding

  • Restricted to spears.
  • A direct spear hit applies a physical damage-over-time effect.
  • Damage is based on the target's maximum health.
  • Respects armor, toughness, and Protection.
  • Does not recursively trigger hit enchantments.
  • Conflicts with Lunge.

Long Edge

  • Restricted to spears.
  • Increases spear melee attack range.
  • Does not change damage or projectile speed.

Trident Enchantments

These enchantments work only with thrown tridents and do not affect normal melee trident attacks.

Surge

  • Conflicts with Riptide.
  • Activates after 6/5/4 ticks of water flight.
  • Damage multiplier: 1.15/1.25/1.35.
  • Additional knockback multiplier: 1.10/1.20/1.30.

Tether

  • Pulls a target toward the thrower after a direct hit.
  • Conflicts with Riptide, Surge, and Rebound.

Rebound

  • Requires Loyalty.
  • Allows a returning trident to damage entities again.
  • Conflicts with Riptide and Tether.

Hydroshock

  • Creates a water shockwave when a thrown trident hits in water.
  • Pushes nearby creatures away.
  • Can coexist with Surge, Tether, and Rebound.
  • Conflicts with Riptide.

Bow Enchantments

Overcharge

  • Bow-only enchantment.
  • Activates only after the vanilla full-draw threshold.
  • Maximum damage bonus: +15%/+25%/+35%.
  • Maximum velocity bonus: +5%/+8%/+12%.
  • Reaches full bonus after 10/15/20 extra ticks.
  • Progress is linear and displayed with restrained feedback.

Explosive Arrow

  • Bow-only enchantment.
  • Detonates 20 ticks after hitting an entity or block.
  • Explosion damage is based on the shooter's attack power.
  • Works on both entity and block impacts.
  • Prevents recursive explosive-arrow behavior.

Arrow Rain

  • Bow-only enchantment.
  • Requires at least 90% draw strength.
  • After the first entity or block impact, shows a 10-tick warning.
  • Spawns real arrows over the impact area.
  • Duration: 30/36/40 ticks.
  • Arrow count: 6/9/12.
  • Radius: 2.25/2.75/3.25 blocks.
  • Base damage multiplier: 0.18/0.20/0.22.
  • Uses normal collision, armor, shields, Protection, and hurt immunity.
  • The rain area is fixed after the warning phase.
  • Conflicts with Explosive Arrow.

Tracking

  • Bow-only enchantment.
  • Requires at least 80% draw strength.
  • Selects one target at spawn within 24/48/72 blocks.
  • Initial angle tolerance: ±25°/±35°/±50°.
  • Maximum tracking time: 40 ticks.
  • Maximum correction per tick: 3°/5°/7°.
  • Preserves speed, gravity, collision, armor, shields, and damage.
  • Never pierces blocks, increases damage, or changes projectile ownership.
  • Lock feedback is visible only to the shooter.

General Combat Enchantments

Battle Momentum

  • Applies to swords, axes, spears, tridents, and maces.
  • Counts only successful direct melee damage from the current main-hand weapon.
  • Increases attack speed as momentum builds.
  • Projectiles, bleeding, fire, thorns, explosions, potions, and independent damage do not add stacks.

Execution

  • Axe-only enchantment.
  • Enhances attacks against targets below 30% of current health plus absorption.
  • Modifies the existing attack event.
  • Does not create a second damage event.

Movement and Defense Enchantments

Forced March

  • Boots-only enchantment.
  • Requires ground sprinting.
  • Keeps its bonus for 15 ticks after sprinting stops.
  • Uses a movement-speed attribute modifier.
  • Conflicts with Frost Walker.

Clarity

  • Helmet-only, level I enchantment.
  • Removes or blocks Darkness, Blindness, and Nausea while equipped.

Shield

  • Chest-armor-only enchantment.
  • Grants vanilla Absorption based on maximum health.
  • Levels I-V provide 8%/12%/16%/20%/25% absorption.
  • Refresh interval: 4800 ticks.
  • Does not stack.
  • Removing the chest armor immediately removes the WSEE-granted absorption.
  • Supports independent cooldown reset.

Holy Light

  • Chest-armor-only enchantment.
  • Heals the wearer when critically wounded.
  • Uses a 7200-tick cooldown at every level.
  • Only heals the wearer.
  • Conflicts with Shield.

Foundation

  • Leggings-only enchantment.
  • Maximum level III.
  • Grants knockback resistance.
  • Levels I/II/III provide 0.15/0.25/0.35 resistance.
  • Modifiers are removed immediately when leggings are changed or removed.
  • Duplicate modifiers are prevented.

Mace Enchantments

Falling Star

  • Mace-only enchantment.
  • Requires at least 4 blocks of fall distance.
  • A successful high-altitude smash calls down falling-star fragments.
  • Applies Slowness to nearby enemies.
  • Radius: 3/4/5 blocks.
  • Duration: 40/60/60 ticks.
  • Does not create a second mace damage event.

Shock Ring

  • Mace-only enchantment.
  • Releases an expanding shock ring after a successful smash attack.
  • Enemies reached by the ring take one physical damage hit and knockback.
  • Higher levels increase range, damage, and knockback.
  • Uses normal armor, shield, and defense calculations.

Fishing Rod Enchantments

Air Force

  • Fishing-rod-only enchantment.
  • On successful fishing loot, replaces fish, junk, or treasure with one non-fish item.
  • Produces exactly one item per successful catch.
  • Preserves vanilla fishing experience, durability, hook behavior, and drop presentation.
  • Excludes technical, unobtainable, and blacklisted items.

Flying Hook

  • Fishing-rod-only enchantment.
  • Hook speed multiplier: 1.15/1.30/1.45/1.60/1.75.
  • Pull speed: 0.55/0.65/0.75/0.85/0.95.
  • Anchor range: 24/30/36/42/48 blocks.
  • Uses velocity-based movement rather than teleportation.
  • Conflicts with Lure, Luck of the Sea, and Air Force.
  • Stops during creative flight, elytra flight, riding, death, dimension changes, or stalled movement.

Mining Enchantment

Refining

  • Applies to designated mining tools.
  • Automatically converts drops from designated ores using vanilla smelting recipes.
  • Preserves normal mining and drop behavior.
  • Does not affect unsupported blocks.
